Microwave Corn on the Cob

If you have trouble checking for doneness with the corn still inside the husk, you can use the paper-towel method mentioned above.

How to Cook Corn on the Cob in the Microwave


  1. 1 ear of corn, still in husk
    Butter, salt, pepper, and any additional toppings as desired


  1. Place the ear of corn with the husk intact in the microwave.
  2. Microwave for four minutes, or until the corn feels softer to the touch and smells like corn. Use a towel to remove the ear from the microwave, and peel the husk back slightly to make sure it's done.
  3. Let cool, and enjoy.
