Hurricane Matthew is forecasted to hit Florida on Thursday night, which has prompted Walt Disney World to announce news [1] of its temporary closing. Its theme parks, Disney Springs, miniature golf courses, ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, and Water Parks will be shutting down at 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, through Friday, Oct. 7.
According to CNBC, this will only be the fourth time that Disney World has ever had to close [2] since opening in 1971.
Disney Parks Blog also instructs travelers with questions or concerns to tune into its blog [3] for any further updates, as its Florida call centers have been unusually busy.
