Walt Disney World Is Temporarily Shutting Down Due to Hurricane Matthew

Hurricane Matthew is forecasted to hit Florida on Thursday night, which has prompted Walt Disney World to announce news of its temporary closing. Its theme parks, Disney Springs, miniature golf courses, ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, and Water Parks will be shutting down at 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, through Friday, Oct. 7.

According to CNBC, this will only be the fourth time that Disney World has ever had to close since opening in 1971.

Disney Parks Blog also instructs travelers with questions or concerns to tune into its blog for any further updates, as its Florida call centers have been unusually busy.
