Stan Lee, Spider-Man Creator, Did Something Wonderful For a Boy With Autism

Mar 1 2015 - 12:20pm

Stan Lee is pretty much the coolest. The cocreator behind Spider-Man, Iron Man, X-Men, and more iconic comic-book characters recently performed an incredible act of kindness. He first heard about 8-year-old Jamel Hunter through a New York Times Neediest Cases Fund [1] piece and was touched by the boy's story. Hunter has autism and is the ultimate Spider-Man fan — his mother pulled all her resources together to give him a Spider-Man birthday party.

So, Lee sketched the boy a portrait of Spider-Man [2] and mailed it to the New York Times reporter behind the story. The sketch is now in the lucky hands of Hunter. Is this the ultimate birthday gift or what?
