Katie Puts on Her Designer Hat For a Trip to Maxfield
Katie Holmes spent the last week exploring Boston with her family, but last night she was reunited with her design partner, Jeanne Yang, to debut their Holmes & Yang clothing line at Maxfield in LA. The ladies have long been scheduled to make an appearance at the store, which is the exclusive retailer for their initial collection. We first got a peek at Katie's creations last Summer at a premiere of Tropic Thunder, but it'll be interesting to see what she and Jeanne have come up with when their full line debuts.

She has thick legs and no shoulders, and does not know how to dress in a way that flatters her body. Why would he trust her to do any better with a clothing line? Although I am supposing that most of the work to fall on J. Yang.
1Spending a lot of money on clothing doesn't make you a designer Katie. Otherwise K. Fed could claim himself a chef.
Judging by the way Katie has been dressing lately, I will be surprised if I like her new line. Remember back when she first was with Tom she would have on the latest styles and looked lovely? What happened to that?

7I don't understand why there is so much buzz about Katie and clothes, because as you say, cloroxcowgirl. her wardrobe is depressing. I have heard people saying she has a "European sense of style" but there is nothing European about horrible tights and plain, boring, ugly clothes...
8I don't know if her legs are thick but they are definitely not proportionate with her upper body and the leggings aren't making them look any better.
9A cheap looking ivory jacket that's being marketed as a "mom blazer" with folded back cuffs and tacky lining for $1500? A drab black little dress for a toddler at $500? Can they possibly be for real?
Perhaps they are calling it "European" because Katie decided to use the exact same palette of colors historically used by one of the biggest fashion houses in Paris.
Like no one would notice.
10I can't figure out why this 30 year old looks like she's in her 50's. Why would anyone buy clothes to make them look 20 years older.
