Aaron Paul Is Giving Away a Prized Possession to Help His Friend

Aaron Paul is sharing the love after his big win at the Emmys. On Friday, the actor took to Instagram with a special offer for his fans: if they follow his friend Max Barsness, they just might win a signed copy of the Breaking Bad pilot script. Aaron captioned a snap of the script: "Who wants this?!? Follow @heretosaveyouall and it's yours! One of his new followers will receive this directly from me. I'm doing this because I believe in my friend and I believe his photography deserves the eyes of the public. Look him up, check him out, comment if you like something and this script could be yours! Good luck!!!"

The massive gesture of support took Aaron's friend by surprise. "I had no idea Aaron was doing it," Max told POPSUGAR. "He only sent a text, saying, 'Get ready for more followers,' so my response was generally, 'F*ck . . . ' But I will say it almost brought me to tears, seeing what he wrote." Within hours, Max's Instagram following jumped from hundreds to thousands of people. By Saturday, he had well over 135K followers, with the number continuing to grow as Aaron promoted his giveaway even more. "I will also personalize [if] you would like. Will be calling the winner to get shipping details," Aaron wrote in another Instagram post.

In response to the excitement, Max shared a cute picture of the pals. "I pay respect to the man who allowed [me] to follow my dream. Love you @glassofwhiskey," he captioned the picture. The giveaway comes mere days after the 11th anniversary of Max and Aaron's friendship. They met on Aug. 27, 2003, in Idaho. Max moved to LA the following day to pursue his passion for taking pictures that capture his "longing for the places I wish to be and the respect and love for the places I have been." According to Max, Aaron has never wavered in his support. "Since I met Aaron he has taken me under his wing," Max said. "He has never doubted any of his friends and [has] been insanely courageous in helping all that he can. I would not be in LA 10 years later if it wasn't for Aaron. I owe him everything, and I couldn't be happier. He is the most genuine person I know."

If you haven't followed Max yet, Aaron says it's not too late: "I will be grabbing screen shots of his new followers thru out the day and will pick one at random," he wrote. Head over to Max's profile to enter the sweet giveaway.
