It's been a busy — and star-studded — few days in NYC for Jake Gyllenhaal! He kicked things off last week at the NY Knicks game with Ben Stiller, Christine Taylor, and Spike Lee, and continued the famous fun with a weekend meeting alongside Jude Law. The celebrity encounters kept coming on Sunday when Jake mingled with A-listers including Isla Fisher and Sarah Jessica Parker at Jerry Seinfeld's 59th birthday bash. In the middle of it all, Jake managed to make his regular spin class at Soul Cycle in Union Square, where he's been known to pack the house with female fans despite his new relationship with Emily DiDonato. Angelina Jolie showed her support for Malala Yousafzai at the Women in the World Summit, organized by Newsweek/The Daily Beast, in NYC last night. She wore a Saint Laurent maxi dress and coat as she introduced a video message from the Pakistani schoolgirl who got international attention after she was shot by the Taliban for promoting girls' education. Angie said, "Here's what the gunman and the Taliban accomplished on that day. They shot her at point-blank range in the head — and made her stronger." Angelina has also donated $200,000 to the Malala Fund, a new charity set up by Vital Voices to encourage girls' education. Other stars who attended the Women in the World Summit included America Ferrera, Daily Beast editor Tina Brown, and Meryl Streep.

Angelina has been busy with philanthropic work over the past few weeks. She recently traveled to Africa with Britain's Foreign Secretary William Hague to raise awareness about rape in war zones.

Jake Gyllenhaal joined his End of Watch costars America Ferrera, Anna Kendrick, Michael Peña, and Cody Horn last night for the film's LA premiere. The actors welcomed an eclectic mix of special guests, including Arnold Schwarzenegger, 50 Cent, Cody's Magic Mike costar Joe Manganiello, and Jake's longtime friend Busy Philipps. It was the movie's stateside debut after the cast premiered the film at the Toronto International Film Festival earlier this month.

We caught up with Jake and Michael on the red carpet, where Jake spoke to the "life-changing" experience of making the film. He told us he spent five months preparing for the shoot, which lasted less than 22 days in total. He and Michael play LAPD officers in the movie. The world of law enforcement and street crime was a familiar one for writer-director David Ayer — he also penned Training Day. Anna Kendrick and Jake Gyllenhaal arrived at the Toronto International Film Festival for the premiere of End of Watch yesterday. Anna chose a black Elie Saab gown for the event while Jake dressed in Prada and their costar America Ferrera went with Badgley Mischka. Their movie hits theaters on Sept. 21, but you can check out the End of Watch trailer for a peek at their performances. Anna tweeted after the screening that the movie "was breathtaking; audience response was intense." Anna and Jake are just adding to the serious star power at TIFF, since Gwyneth Paltrow, Ben Affleck, Kristen Stewart, and Emily Blunt have already made their mark at the festival.

Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson were among the familiar faces who turned out for last night's Adele show at LA's Greek Theater. She held onto his arm afterward while other celebs like Glee's Dianna Agron and Amber Riley made their way to their cars alongside Minnie Driver, America Ferrera, and Kate Walsh. Even Robert Pattinson was spotted backstage! Jessica and Eric had the romantic evening out and enjoyed a break from planning their upcoming wedding. She's also been hard at work shooting episodes for her new series Fashion Star with Nicole Richie, who likewise had free time yesterday to pay a visit to the gym. Jessica broke from her small screen work for a philanthropic design endeavor — she donated boxes of Jessica Simpson collection goodies recently to Jessica Seinfeld's Baby Buggy charity.

Jake Gyllenhaal was joined by costars America Ferrera and Michael Pena on the LA set of their cop drama End of Watch yesterday. It was a busy day for Michael, who slipped out of his police uniform and into a suit and continued on to Hollywood's Grauman's Chinese Theater for the premiere of his new comedy, 30 Minutes or Less. This project is America's first return to the big screen since tying the knot with Ryan Piers Williams earlier this Summer. She plays an LAPD officer along with the guys, though America wasn't spotted hitting the streets with Jake and Michael, who trained together prior to production. With the exception of a shirtless Hawaiian getaway, Jake's been keeping his six-pack under wraps since filming began. America Ferrera married her longtime boyfriend, Ryan Piers Williams, yesterday in New York state! The newlyweds borrowed her Ugly Betty costar Vanessa Williams's home in Chappaqua for the lavish event, which was officiated by their other castmate Judith Light. America's dress from Amsale's Christos line, as well as Fred Leighton jewelry.

The guest list was star-studded with Rebecca Romijn, Jerry O'Connell, and Mark Indelicato in attendance. The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants contingent was well-represented too, with Alexis Bledel, Amber Tamblyn, and Blake Lively on hand. Blake, however, did not bring along her recent love interest, Leonardo DiCaprio. America and Ryan were engaged for just over a year, as she debuted her diamond ring last June at the Edinburgh Film Festival in Scotland. Her most recent acting work was a recurring role on The Good Wife, and hopefully America has enough time off to honeymoon with Ryan before she starts doing voice work for How to Train Your Dragon 2. Congrats to the happy couple.
