So far, she's given us five equally gorgeous ensembles to admire. The latest is a white strapless lace dress. Before that, there were several hits, including a retro-chic, black bustier dress by Michael Kors for a photocall in Italy and a fit-and-flare dress from the London premiere. Step inside to get a closer look at Amy Adams's Man of Steel promotion ensembles, and check back for lots more red carpet moments from the leading lady.
Amy Adams dominates the cover and inside of Allure magazine's July issue, which will be available on newsstands June 25. As her latest movie, Man of Steel, smashed box office records over the weekend, Amy has been soaring around the globe promoting the action flick alongside costars Henry Cavill and Russell Crowe. Before then, though, Amy sat down with the magazine and opened up about her "OMG"-worthy bikini body, her iconic role as Lois Lane, and her issue with Lycra. To find out why the star doesn't believe perfect is normal or interesting, read more from Amy Adams in Allure:
- On her bikini body: "I'm just not going to be one of those people photographed in a bikini where people are like, 'OMG, look at Amy!' I mean, it might be OMG, but not for the reasons I want."
- On being unrecognizable: "I have no features without makeup. I am pale. I have blond lashes. You could just paint my face — it's like a blank canvas. It can be great for what I do."
- On playing Lois Lane: "I've wanted to be in a superhero movie, and this was my best chance — as some mere mortal. Let's be real here. I don't look that good in Lycra. I do all right, but I hadn't anticipated that I was ever going to be cast as the girl in Lycra looking hot."
Man of Steel won the box office over the weekend with over $113 million and the biggest June opening to date. Meanwhile, the film's big stars are traveling around the world for further promotions. Henry Cavill, Russell Crowe, and director Zack Snyder walked the red carpet in Madrid today for another premiere, but leading lady Amy Adams did not attend the latest Superman showcasing. Amy did take in a big bear hug from Russell on Saturday, though, when they attended a photocall at the Taormina Film Fest in Taormina, Italy. They were joined by Henry as the group posed for photos against the idyllic countryside.
The three actors have been hard at work promoting their film, including last week's NYC premiere followed by a London showing on Wednesday as well. While in England, the cast battled with the rain, which nearly soaked a Valentino-clad Amy. Luckily, an assistant covered her up with an umbrella, which she giggled about while taking photos. Before the cast headed over to Italy, they taped an interview for The Graham Norton Show, which aired in the UK on Friday.

Brace yourselves, because Zack Snyder's hotly anticipated Superman film, Man of Steel, is opening this week. We have a whole bunch of pictures of Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, and Michael Shannon as the terrifying General Zod. Take a look through all the pictures to see Russell Crowe, Kevin Costner, and Diane Lane as well. Do you already have your tickets?
In a time where superhero movies not only dominate the box office, but also earn rave reviews for their quality, you'd think Superman would be able to join the ranks of Spider-Man and the Avengers. Instead, director Zack Snyder delivers a heavy and underwhelming snooze-fest with Man of Steel. Starring Henry Cavill as the title superhero, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, and Michael Shannon as villain General Zod, the movie falls flat on a number of levels, the most egregious being that it's just plain boring. Man of Steel sets up what could be a great series of films, but this first chapter just feels like a prologue — an extended, bloated, confusing prologue filled with run-of-the-mill action and long-winded explanations that would confuse even savvy comic book fans. But hey, at least Cavill is gorgeous.
This is Cavill's first time as a leading man in a big-budget film, but you wouldn't know it by his star-quality magnetism. The chiseled actor is impossible not to stare at, especially when he fills out that suit. Sadly, he doesn't don it until about halfway through the movie. The first portion is dedicated to a little history lesson: Kal-El (aka Clark Kent, aka Superman)'s mother and father (Russell Crowe) beam him out into the universe as their planet is facing devastation. First attacked by a rogue army general (Shannon) staging a coup, Krypton then explodes after exhausting its natural resources. The movie flashes forward to a grown Clark attempting to uncover the truth of his identity, and back again to his years as a confused teen being raised by kindly farming couple Jonathan and Martha Kent (Kevin Costner and Diane Lane). The timeline is a bit of a head-scratcher, but it's not nearly as confusing as the film's meandering plot. To find out more, just keep reading.

The show may have been about the boys, including Bradley Cooper, guy of the year winner Ben Affleck, and guycon Vince Vaughn, but there were plenty of ladies in attendance as well.
