Shawn approached the band selection process with confidence, Neil Lane told People. "Shawn was very self-assured and there was no doubt in his mind about what he was about to do," the jeweler said. "He was not nervous at all and was like, 'That’s the ring, that's the girl and we are moving on together.' He was certain he was the guy."

The jeweler had Katilyn in mind when he designed the piece. "I created this ring for her and I was thrilled when Shawn picked it," Neil said. "He knew what he wanted."
