Gone Girl author Gillian Flynn sees another of her books come to life with this week's theatrical release of Dark Places. Charlize Theron stars as the film's protagonist Libby Day, a woman haunted by a horrific past, and I chatted with Theron at the movie's press day about why she was hungry to bite into such a troubled character.
