The Staples Center was star-studded last night as famous fans headed out to see the Lakers take on the Celtics in their first playoff game.

The Staples Center was star-studded last night as famous fans headed out to see the Lakers take on the Celtics in their first playoff game. Leonardo DiCaprio broke from hanging out with Bar Refaeli to join friends sitting courtside, and he was in for a treat as his team clinched their first win with a score of 102-89. Charlize Theron also enthusiastically cheered from the sidelines, while David Duchovny pensively watched the action with a beer. The male stars of Grown Ups congregated together as well, with Chris Rock, David Spade, Adam Sandler, and Kevin James cracking each other up. Jason Bateman and Dustin Hoffman, meanwhile, hammed it up for the Kiss Cam and lip-locked in front of the thousands in the stadium.

Big Stars Step Out in London For the National Movie Awards!

London was brimming with big names this evening for the National Movie Awards.

London was brimming with big names this evening for the National Movie Awards. Katie Holmes was wearing a dress from her own Holmes and Yang collection and had Tom on her arm coming from a couple of days in NYC with sweet-loving Suri. Diane Kruger was decked out in Lanvin from head to toe and had her best accessory of all, Joshua Jackson, to pose by her side. Gwyneth Paltrow was a vision in pink while Orlando Bloom kept his hair unkempt to go with his snappy suit. Weigh in on all the red carpet looks on FabSugar UK — who do you think was best dressed?

Inside, Tom Cruise accepted the Screen Icon award while Peter Facinelli represented the Twilight cast for their dual wins for New Moon and Eclipse. Robert Pattinson couldn't attend the show since he's in California filming Water for Elephants, but he did make a speech via satellite when his Edward Cullen was named Performance of the Year. The cast of Harry Potter also had their moment to shine with their special recognition award. Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe, and Bonnie Wright stuck together in the press room with their statue. Rihanna, Katy Perry, Taylor Lautner and More Have a Bright Night on the Kids' Choice Red Carpet

The stars came out to walk the orange carpet at the Kids' Choice Awards in LA on Saturday.

The stars came out to walk the orange carpet at the Kids' Choice Awards in LA on Saturday. Katy Perry kicked things off in her colorful and metallic gown, and she stopped to tell us all about her upcoming wedding to Russell Brand. She said, "I'm not that obsessed, but Russell's really obsessed with the wedding. Like, we go to breakfast, and he has to stop and get a bride magazine — it's a little crazy." Her good friend Rihanna kept things similarly short and sweet with her fashion, and she's also got a touch of the bridal fever since she's planning Katy's bachelorette party. Rihanna said, "I'm on it, I'm on it already!" Selena Gomez and Nikki Reed were ready for Spring in their little dresses, while Zoe Saldana was in jeans and a blazer.

The guys, meanwhile, kept things strictly casual. Cory Monteith was fresh off his bowling date with Taylor Swift, and when asked who won he said, "Not me — I suck at bowling!" Taylor's other close friend Taylor Lautner joined his Twilight costar Jackson Rathbone, while Dev Patel and Justin Bieber stuck with the dark jeans trend. Kevin and Joe Jonas had their ladies Danielle and Demi Lovato by their respective sides — let us know what you think of the day's fashion and beauty with Fab and Bella's love it or hate it polls!

No Middle Ground

While accepting her best actress award for her breakout role in Precious at the NAACP Awards, Gabourey Sidibe was hit with some weighty remarks from her director and, later, some unsolicited attention from Chris Rock.

While accepting her best actress award for her breakout role in Precious at the NAACP Awards, Gabourey Sidibe was hit with some weighty remarks from her director and, later, some unsolicited attention from Chris Rock. Precious director Lee Daniels took the podium to speak about his film, saying, "No one in Hollywood told me they wanted to see a movie about a 350 pound black girl who had HIV." Immediately realizing his offense, he back-peddled, "She's not 350 pounds, Gabby . . . but the book says . . . before you were hired." Gabourey looked on mortified, while Daniels struggled to dig himself out of a sinking hole. The remark puts Gabby's weight in the spotlight, when it's obviously her performance that deserves attention.

Still, what's equally disturbing is US Weekly's account of Chris Rock's on-stage butt grab: "[When] Sidibe won the night's best actress award . . . she laughed as presenter Chris Rock squeezed her bottom." OK? Now I'm confused. To see why, read more

What to Rent: New DVD Tuesday

Entertainment time! Ready to beef up your ever-growing list of movies to watch? Here are the big DVD releases hitting today.

Coco Before Chanel

My friend Fab said she enjoyed this look at the fashion icon's life in her pre-label days, so I'm dying to get a glimpse of Coco Before Chanel at home — in the comfort of my very un-glamorous sweatpants, of course. Amelie actress Audrey Tautou stars as Gabrielle Chanel, the seamstress who used her handiwork (and her tenacity) to create a fashion empire. The Oscars have already recognized the film's pretty costuming, but I'm equally anxious to watch it for her love affairs and for Chanel herself, a total rebel and an incredible plum female role.

Extras include behind-the-scenes featurettes and an audio commentary.

Law Abiding Citizen

Warning: Beware if you have a queasy stomach. Law Abiding Citizen is a thriller about the justice system, but Saw-like killing sprees abound. The film centers on Gerard Butler as a family man who goes on a slasher bender after his daughter and wife are murdered. Jamie Foxx costars as the lawyer he's targeting for revenge. For the sake of full disclosure, I was not a fan when the movie came to theaters, but you may want to consider it if you love Gerard Butler — or just pure, bloody entertainment.

Extras include a behind-the-scenes featurette, audio commentary, and a mash-up trailer.

Rihanna Arrives at MSG in the Knick of Time For a Game

A handful of celebs turned up at Madison Square Garden last night to see the Knicks play the Trailblazers.

A handful of celebs turned up at Madison Square Garden last night to see the Knicks play the Trailblazers. Rihanna was front and center with a friend after her weekend appearance on SNL, where she starred in one of Andy Samberg's digital shorts, "Shy Ronnie", and then celebrated with the cast and host Blake Lively at the afterparty. Also courtside yesterday was Celine Dion with her husband Rene and son Rene-Charles, who all seemed to have struck up quite a rapport with fellow fan Chris Rock. Rihanna has been traveling around the world for the past few weeks promoting her new album, Rated R, but this time she was able to spend a rare evening off just having fun.

Natalie, Alec and Ryan Lead the Way at Gotham's Indie Awards

It was a celebration of movies and acting in NYC last night at the Gotham Independent Film Awards.

It was a celebration of movies and acting in NYC last night at the Gotham Independent Film Awards. Ryan Reynolds hit the red carpet solo looking dapper in his vest while Brooke Shields stood close to Rosie Perez and Alec Baldwin posed with Richard Kind. Alec recently said he would be retiring from acting in a couple of years, but first he's out to promote It's Complicated out this month. He also has a big award show to host this season when he and Steve Martin take on the Oscars together. Natalie Portman showed some skin — get her look here — before being honored during the show just days before her new film, Brothers, hits theaters.

The night's big winner was The Hurt Locker while Stanley Tucci was also one of the night's honorees along with Portman. Chris Rock came out to support his documentary Good Hair, though the prize went to Food, Inc. The night was full of laughs as Meryl Streep entertained, and Sam Rockwell made funny faces with Patricia Clarkson who took the podium. Award season is underway as we start to get an idea of what lies in store for the nominations and shows yet to come.

Movie Preview: Adam Sandler and Chris Rock in Grown Ups

I've been watching over the past several months as the cast roster for Grown Ups continued to add more of Adam Sandler's previous SNL colleagues and close friends — Tim Meadows, Maya Rudolph, Colin Quinn.

I've been watching over the past several months as the cast roster for Grown Ups continued to add more of Adam Sandler's previous SNL colleagues and close friends — Tim Meadows, Maya Rudolph, Colin Quinn. It's like he decided to make a project where he could invite everyone he knows to jump on board and have fun. And the cast really does appear to be having a good time in the trailer — I'm just not 100 percent sure I'm right there with them.

The film follows Sandler and his childhood friends (Kevin James, Chris Rock, Rob Schneider, David Spade) as they reunite one Fourth of July weekend to honor the death of their basketball coach. Sounds kinda like The Big Chill, but as to be expected with a Happy Madison film, it's ridiculously slapstick. I love all of these guys, but the bits in this teaser definitely aren't as roll-on-the-floor funny as I had hoped with such a star-studded cast. (Really, a breast-milk joke?!) But maybe I'm just judging it too quickly. The film opens in June, but take a peek at the video and tell me your thoughts when you read more

Good Hair: A Funny, Informative Doc For Everyone

Chris Rock's first shot at a documentary was spurred on by a simple question his daughter asked: "Daddy, why don't I have good hair?"

Chris Rock's first shot at a documentary was spurred on by a simple question his daughter asked: "Daddy, why don't I have good hair?" Good Hair is Rock's quest to find out what that is, and why we — men and women, black and white — care so much.

It's not a race relations angle as much as the trailer makes it seem, but rather an investigation into the phenomenon his two young daughters are growing up into: that straight European hair is what's desirable, beautiful, and worth lots of money and pain to get.
