Julia Showers Tom With Love and a Few Naughty Words

Tom Hanks was the man of the hour last night at the 36th Film Society of Lincoln Center's Gala in NYC.

Tom Hanks was the man of the hour last night at the 36th Film Society of Lincoln Center's Gala in NYC. Rita Wilson sparkled on his arm, while Ron Howard framed the perfect shot of Tom and Julia Roberts. Fresh off her trip to Venice, Charlize couldn't help but gush about Salma Hayek's wedding and how beautiful the bride looked in her gown. Julia got the most attention of the night due to her miniroast of Tom. She teased him about a few of his past movies and used the f-word so many times to describe everything from his wife's body to wearing the same dress as his publicist that Tom called out her potty mouth in his own speech.

Come Inside the Governors Ball

After the big show in the Kodak Theater, the first stop for many of the attendees was the Governors Ball.

After the big show in the Kodak Theater, the first stop for many of the attendees was the Governors Ball. Along with attending this year's Oscars via the red carpet and the press room, we were fortunate enough to have a ticket to the fancy affair. While on the inside we watched the celebrities feast on their Wolfgang Puck meal set in the Asian-themed room decor. Celebs made their way through additional television press, which included a lot of singing from the youngest of the Slumdog cast, who were some of the last to arrive. Anne Hathaway continued to make it a family affair posing with her brother. She was being greeted nonstop and barely found any time to eat her meal, which included a three-tiered chocolate dessert with an Oscar on the top. Robert Pattinson and fellow teen heartthrob Zac Efron chatted and toasted with Vanessa Hudgens before heading over to the VF afterparty. There was lots of casual mingling with peers in the ballroom and some took a few smoking breaks on the side. Heidi and Seal continued to make the rounds, but were they your favorite Oscar couple of the night?

Sue Likes Surprise Parties

Sue likes surprise parties.

Sue likes surprise parties. She really likes them. She likes them almost as much as she likes gaudy pink pearls and quilt crazy sweaters — and that's saying a lot. Lucky for Sue, there's a party in the works. It's gonna have balloons, a cake, even a few people here and there. Sue's so excited, she can't contain herself. She really can't contain herself . . .

A Christopher Walken Family Reunion on SNL

The Christopher Walken "tawking like dis" gene must be dominant because it overcomes race, gender, and sexual orientation.

The Christopher Walken "tawking like dis" gene must be dominant because it overcomes race, gender, and sexual orientation. In this skit from Saturday Night Live the Walken family get together for a reunion. They prove that the family that tawks funny togedda, stays togedda.

FABTV: Fatboy Slim "Weapon of Choice"

Spike Jonze is one of my favorite video directors.

Spike Jonze is one of my favorite video directors. He has worked with some amazing artists, including Fab favorite the Beastie Boys, and was married to Fabcon Sofia Coppola. Christopher Walken is a wonderful actor. You put the two together and it's a pukka partnership. Who knew Walken was so light on his toes? Watch him dance away in this hotel lobby and you'll never look at him the same way again. I know when he's floating in midair at the end it's special effects, but doesn't that aerial totally look real? The video really blows me away, there aren't many words to say. Just watch.

Would You Watch Christopher Walken's Cooking Show?

My gal Molly let me in on one of the weirdest things I've seen in a while.

My gal Molly let me in on one of the weirdest things I've seen in a while. Apparently, cult favorite Christopher Walken is looking to host his own cooking show - so much so that he's recorded his own video and put it on the internet. In the amateur video entitled "Man Makes Chickens with Pears," Walken comes across more like someone's grandpa, than someone who would host a cooking show. I'm not sure what to make of the whole thing. I think he's fantastic, but this is a little peculiar. What do you think? Give it a watch and then tell me, would you watch Christopher Walken's cooking show?

John Gets Back to his Roots with Hairspray

Last night, the whole Hairspray cast was on hand to show off their film at at ShoWest in Las Vegas.

Last night, the whole Hairspray cast was on hand to show off their film at at ShoWest in Las Vegas. John Travolta, a seriously hot Michelle Pfeiffer, Brittany Snow and newcomer Nicole Blonsky hammed it up on the red carpet in celebration of the remake of John Waters' 1998 classic cult film (and recent Broadway hit). In the movie, Travolta gets back to his musical roots, something he hasn't done for 30 years (the dancing in Pulp Fiction not withstanding), but this role is a far cry from his Saturday Night Fever Days. In case you missed it, John had to gear up in a fat suit and drag for this role. Sounds like a perfectly campy John Waters remake!
