To gear up for this Sunday's 2010 Primetime Emmy Awards, I gathered together a few of our favorite beauty how-tos from over the past few years. From chic ponytails to smoky eyes that will have heads turning, here are six celebrity tutorials from Emmys past:
Jennifer Celebrates Award-Winning Courteney and Young Women in Film With Emily, Zoe, and Vanessa!
Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox matched in black at the Women in Film Crystal and Lucy Awards in LA last night. The theme of the evening was "A New Era" and Courteney also spent some quality time laughing and posing with one of the evening's up-and-coming stars, Vanessa Hudgens. Jennifer is back from her month in Hawaii filming Just Go With It where she showed off that amazing bikini body she works so hard to maintain. Last year Jen was the recipient of the Excellence in Film statue at the awards, and she famously joked on stage about her movie titles mirroring her love life. This time it was Courteney's turn to be among the honorees, as was "Face of the Future" Zoe Saldana. The Avatar actress mixed things up in her flirty white dress while all the rest of the women, also including Emily Blunt, were monochrome in their dark dresses. David Arquette came to support his wife, so it wasn't just a girls' night out, but there was a lot of love for the ladies as they celebrated each other's careers.

Awesome Americana: Michael Kors
Michael Kors will always have a special place in my heart. The first New York Fashion Week show I ever attended was Michael's Spring '00 "Palm Bitch" show. The clothes were a sherbet rainbow of luxury and Gisele was on the brink of being the next big thing. Throughout the years, Estonian model Carmen Kass has embodied the jetsetting American sportswear aesthetic that is Kors. Cashmere knits, decadent furs, simple sheaths, aviator sunglasses, glorious gowns, the list goes on. But the casual luxe attitude is always there. Michael became a household name mid-2000s, bringing his fine taste to the masses with his lower-priced Michael Michael Kors and serving as a judge on Project Runway. Adored by celebrities, models, and fellow designers, Kors is undeniably awesome. Carry on for a thorough Kors review . . .

We already had one look at all the gorgeous ladies on the Emmys red carpet, but many of the other ensembles were also amazing. Heidi Klum kicked things off in a dress that perfectly showcased her growing baby bump, while Tina Fey picked out a number in similar black. Leighton Meester was quite a contrast in white, looking pretty with her red lips. Ginnifer Goodwin and Mila Kunis, meanwhile, added color to the carpet with their purplish frocks. Make sure to check in with Fab, Bella and CelebStyle who are all still covering all the fashion and beauty from the big night!
