The media blitz surrounding Jessica Alba's new book, The Honest Life: Living Naturally and True to You, kicked into high gear today as the actress, Honest Company founder, and mom of two visited Good Morning America to talk about her inspiration for the company and some green mothering tips. While Jessica gave us suggestions for making our home healthier for the entire family, check out the general mom tips she shared on the show this morning.
Lean in to opportunities at work, and lean on your partner more at home. That's the gist of the great advice offered by Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg in her new book, Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead.
On Good Morning America on Monday, Sandberg talked how external factors hold women back in the workplace and explained that women should also change their own mentality to break through the glass ceiling. She also stressed the importance of choosing a life partner who's also an equal partner and how to inspire young girls. We think it's downright inspirational; watch and tell us what you think.
Miranda Kerr paid a visit to Good Morning America in NYC today to share her health and diet tips. She wore a formfitting patterned dress during her interview and later changed into jeans and a leather jacket when she left the ABC studios. During her segment, Miranda — who is a certified nutritionist — shared her supermodel diet secrets, which included drinking antioxidant-rich noni juice and eating goji berries. She also mentioned that she de-stresses by doing yoga and performing a "jump for joy" in the morning to help wake herself up.
Miranda also opened up to GMA about her life with 2-year-old Flynn, saying that he's very healthy and is turning into "such a charming little man . . . I feel so blessed." She is currently in NYC to promote Victoria's Secret's new Fabulous collection and recently dropped by the lingerie company's store in Herald Square with fellow Angel Behati Prinsloo.
Michelle Williams showed off her legs as she headed to the Late Show With David Letterman today in NYC. Michelle's talk show stop was her second promotional appearance of the day. She also visited Good Morning America, where she chatted about her upcoming film, Oz the Great and Powerful, which hits theaters on March 8. Michelle plays the role of the good witch, Glinda, in the film and revealed that she was drawn to a character that her daughter, Matilda, could enjoy. She said, "When I first read the script, I really responded to the fact that it had a good heart at its center, and that its sense of humor wasn't sarcastic or mean. I just thought it was really something that my daughter could see and that her friends would enjoy." Michelle also divulged that Matilda spent a lot of time on set with her and was welcomed by the film's crew.
Michelle's press tour comes after the film's big debut on the West Coast. Michelle joined her costars Mila Kunis, James Franco, and Rachel Weisz on the yellow brick road for the world premiere of Oz the Great and Powerful last week in LA. At the event, Michelle shared her excitement with us over finally showing the film to daughter Matilda.
New mom Drew Barrymore appeared on Good Morning America this morning, and she shared the source of baby Olive's name. "My husband and I were looking through a book and it talked about what size your baby was as it's growing inside of you. They always use food for some reason for a reference, and at that time our baby was the size of an olive. That was it, we never looked back!" Learn more about how motherhood has changed Drew and how little Olive has turned her into a morning person.
Jessica Simpson was on Good Morning America today chatting about her new deal with Weight Watchers, motherhood, and her takeover of the fashion industry. She never imagined helming a billion-dollar business but says it was a natural progression for her career. The new mama's first maternity designs — a capsule collection for Destination Maternity — are hitting stores this month, and today she said she plans to expand her empire to include baby clothes. Nonetheless, Jess says her proudest accomplishment so far is her daughter, Maxwell Johnson.
Based on Jessica's clothing designs, are you excited to see her baby collection?
Bachelorette stars Kirsten Dunst, Isla Fisher, and Lizzy Caplan were up and at 'em this morning with a stop at the GMA studio in NYC's Times Square. Isla shared a wildly awkward story about the uncomfortable bachelorette experience she shared with her mom while Kirsten said she's not planning to watch this one in the company of her father.
Last night, the ladies stepped out in colorful frocks for the East Coast premiere of the raunchy comedy. Isla chatted with us about her husband, Sacha Baron Cohen, and Kirsten talked about the lovely time she had on set with her costars. Kirsten also touched on her upcoming visit to Toronto for this year's film festival, saying On the Road's changed a lot since its world premiere at Cannes in May. Garrett Hedlund is expected to join Kirsten in Canada, as is Kristen Stewart, who's reportedly prepping to make her first postscandal red carpet appearance.
Robert Pattinson looked calm and relaxed arriving at the GMA studio in NYC early this morning. It's been a busy week for Rob, who kicked off his Cosmopolis promotional tour on Monday with a sit-down interview with The Daily Show's Jon Stewart. Rob gracefully made his way through his chat with Jon, avoiding questions about Kristen Stewart's cheating scandal while enjoying some ice cream, and this morning he was equally professional and did his best to sidestep questions about his personal life. Rob has one more TV stop planned during his stay in the Big Apple. Tomorrow he's expected to drop by MTV before his David Cronenberg-directed film hits theaters on Friday.
Robert Pattinson swung by Good Morning America today in NYC to talk about his new movie, Cosmopolis. After carefully evading most talk about his personal life during Monday's stop at The Daily Show, Rob was similarly mum today. Host George Stephanopoulos asked about how Rob handles so much media attention, and the actor replied, "I've never been interested in trying to sell my personal life . . . That's the reason you go on TV — to promote movies. That's the only way to do it."
Later, Rob said, "Yeah," when asked if he's doing alright, and was treated to a bowl of early-morning cereal. Robert will have to answer to more questioning over the next couple days before his David Cronenberg-directed movie hits theaters Friday.
Blake Lively made her way to the Good Morning America studios this morning in a bright red Michael Kors suit and a pair of strappy Christian Louboutin heels. Blake made a quick trip to NYC after premiering her latest movie, Savages, in LA on Monday evening. She made a splash on the red carpet there in a curve-hugging, strapless gown by Zuhair Murad and has been rolling out several high-fashion looks as she promotes the project. Last night, she visited with David Letterman before getting up bright and early for today's morning-show stop, where she signed autographs for fans outside.
Beyond Blake's film with Salma Hayek, Taylor Kitsch, and John Travolta, she has another new role and a return to TV to celebrate. Blake is the new face of Gucci's fragrance, and Gossip Girl will be back on the CW in the Fall for a sixth season. See where Blake's busy year placed her in this year's Pop 100!
