The White House Correspondents' Dinner took place in Washington DC last night. A roster of Hollywood stars kicked things off Friday night. Downton Abbey met Mad Men when Michelle Dockery and Jessica Paré made the rounds at The New Yorker's party. And last night, stars Amy Poehler, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Olivia Wilde, Jason Sudeikis, and more got together for drinks before the big dinner. Chrissy Teigen and John Legend brought their good looks to City Harvest's annual Practical Magic fundraising event in NYC last night. The bash drew stars from both film and the world of food, including Richard Gere and a Chloe-clad Elizabeth Olsen — whom Chrissy and John mingled with inside the event — and Top Chef star Tom Colicchio and Eric Ripert, who is the chair of City Harvest's Food Council. It isn't clear if Chrissy partook in any libations during the fete, but she did reveal after the charity shindig that she is swearing off alcohol for the time being. She tweeted today, "I feel like if I say this publicly, the chances of succeeding will rise. I am going sober. First for a month, then taking it from there. Alcohol is just not as fun and relaxing as it used to be. Want to feel truly good again!"
Salma Hayek and John Legend posed with activists Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy and Mariane Pearl at a photocall for the new Chime For Change charity in London yesterday. The organization, which was founded by Salma, Beyoncé Knowles, and Gucci creative director Frida Giannini, announced that Beyoncé will headline a global charity concert in London on June 1. John, who serves on the Advisory Board for Chime For Change and will perform at the upcoming event, spoke at the concert's press conference about his involvement in the organization, which raises funds to improve the lives of women worldwide. He said, "All men should be feminists. If men care about women's rights, the world will be a better place." Florence and the Machine, Ellie Goulding, and Timbaland will also be performing at the event.
Many fashionable Hollywood celebrities turned up the glamour at last night's amfAR Gala at NYC's Cipriani 42nd Street. The event, which helps kick off New York Fashion Week, was full of designers and celebs in stylish gowns. Ashley Greene wore a white Giambattista Valli frock while Sarah Jessica Parker went for a daring Maison Martin Margiela Couture pink dress. Honoree Heidi Klum donned a black Michael Kors number, which she wore when she chatted with the designer and her former Project Runway costar on the red carpet.
Other guests included Cheyenne Jackson, Chloë Sevigny, couple John Legend and Chrissy Teigen, and Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke, who dazzled in a dramatic Zac Posen gown. Of course, the night wasn't only about fashion — the amfAR Gala benefits AIDS research and honors those who have made significant contributions towards the fight against the deadly disease. In addition to Heidi, designer Kenneth Cole and Janet Jackson were honored for their work with the organization.
Kim Kardashian hosted a bash at Las Vegas's 1 Oak nightclub last night. She was joined by boyfriend Kanye West and her mom Kris Jenner as well as pals Brittny Gastineau, John Legend, and Chrissy Teigen. Kim and Kanye had even more than just the New Year to celebrate since they announced over the weekend that they're expecting their first child together. It doesn't look like Kim's pregnancy has slowed her down since she's been on the go in recent days. She traveled to Atlantic City, where Kanye performed, and then headed back to LA yesterday before making her first public appearance in Sin City since the exciting news. Kim shared that she hasn't had any morning sickness, adding, "People always say it's easy and fun. It's definitely an adjustment, learning about your body and stuff like that. I've been feeling really good, so that's good."

ABC hosted a bash for the casts of their TV shows, both old and new, last night at NYC's Dream Downtown Hotel to celebrate the Upfronts. Hayden Panettiere and Connie Britton cuddled up after a long day promoting their new series Nashville. Another new program, Duets, had the support of judges Robin Thicke, Kelly Clarkson, and John Legend. Many of ABCs returning hits were represented, too, like Suburgatory and Happy Endings. Revenge couple Emily VanCamp and Josh Bowman were adorable on the red carpet, while Don't Trust the B---- in Apt. 23's Krysten Ritter posed solo. Once Upon a Time's real-life couple Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas did press with costar Jennifer Morrison.
We caught up with Duets' Robin, who spoke about his wife Paula Patton and their young son Julian. The couple apparently has a performer on their hands. Robin said, "He's got the ABC song down now. I'm hoping he'll learn a different one." Paula won't be able to watch the program, however. Robin added, "I told her I never want her to watch it, because she already loves me and I don't want that to go backwards at all. I don't want to lose any points, so just love me the way I am right now and don't watch any of my stuff."
Summer travel is something many stars said they're looking forward to. Revenge's Emily is dating costar Josh Bowman and he might be lucky enough to accompany her on some excursions. She is taking the next few months off and clued us in on her plans. Emily said, "I'm going to see my family on Thursday and I'm so excited. I get a few days with them, so I just want to have some downtime and hang with them. And then traveling! I've been traveling loads. I was in Sydney. I'm going to go to Europe for a bit. I've been really enjoying traveling . . . I think it's good to have a chance of perspective and leave LA, the bubble that is LA, once in a while." Don't Trust the B's Krysten Ritter has similar plans to let loose during a break. She said she's most looking forward to attending "bikini boot camp in Mexico!"
Last night's White House State Dinner, hosted by President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama in honor of visiting British Prime Minister David Cameron and his wife Samantha, was a star-studded affair. George Clooney brought out a tuxedo for the occasion, after testifying about his experiences in Sudan and South Sudan to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee earlier in the day. Homeland star Damian Lewis arrived with his wife Helen McCrory while Sir Richard Branson also posed for photographs on his way into the event. John Legend was on hand as a performer, but also enjoyed the dinner with fiancé Chrissy Teigen, who tweeted pictures throughout the evening, including one shot of John's shirt after he spilled on himself. The other musical entertainment came from Mumford & Sons since David and Samantha are apparently fans of the British band. She's the lucky lady fronting the annual Swimsuit Edition, following in the footsteps of last year's model Irina Shayk. The winner was revealed Monday, when Kate's sexy Times Square billboard was unveiled during The Late Show. Since then, Kate's been on the go with Chrissy Teigen and Anne V. For last night's party at Pure, Chrissy was joined by her fiancé, John Legend. Kate hit the bash solo, but she may be off the market. Kate Upton's dating Mark Sanchez, the Jets quarterback, according to reports. She hasn't confirmed the stories but did say that "he is cute" while chatting with Ellen DeGeneres recently.
