The Watch Trailer: Ben Stiller, Jonah Hill, and an Exploding Cow

As suburban Costco co-workers, Ben Stiller, Jonah Hill, Vince Vaughn, and Richard Ayoade make an unlikely crime-fighting team in the upcoming comedy The Watch.

As suburban Costco co-workers, Ben Stiller, Jonah Hill, Vince Vaughn, and Richard Ayoade make an unlikely crime-fighting team in the upcoming comedy The Watch. The red band trailer for the flick, previously known as Neighborhood Watch, has the foursome fighting an intruder not usually found in cul-de-sacs: aliens. At first, the pals just seem paranoid, eying customers as possible outlanders, but then their fears become validated as they stumble upon an otherworldly object whilst on their neighborhood watch shift.

Between the bodily fluid talk and the abundance of swear words, this trailer is definitely NSFW. While I'm not against the former, I feel like too much time is dedicated to showing how these brotastic guys interact while not enough of the storyline is explained. The scenes we do see are funny, but it seems like this trailer is only for the first half of the film, and we still have no idea what the alien situation is. Given that the film was written by Superbad scribes Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg and directed by The Lonely Island's Akiva Schaffer, I'm sure we can expect more crude humor and blown-up bovines, but I'm curious to find out about the crux of the film and who the foreign invaders are. The movie doesn't come out until July 27, but you can check out the trailer after the jump.

Film Forum: Did 21 Jump Street Crack You Up?

If you were one of the many people the helped 21 Jump Street top the box office this weekend, I want to hear what you thought of the buddy comedy starring Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill.

If you were one of the many people the helped 21 Jump Street top the box office this weekend, I want to hear what you thought of the buddy comedy starring Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill. Hopefully you liked it as much as I did, because a 21 Jump Street sequel is already shaping up, with Tatum and Hill most likely reprising their roles. Did you like the movie — and would you want to follow the funny odd couple on another drug-busting adventure? Let me know what you thought of the film (or anything else you saw at the theater) in the comments.

Channing Says He Never Loved a Costar as Much as Jonah — Except, of Course, Wife Jenna

Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill were in NYC last weekend to chat all about their comedy 21 Jump Street.

Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill were in NYC last weekend to chat all about their comedy 21 Jump Street. The guys dished about their bromance, with Channing saying he's never fallen in love with a costar so much — except, of course, with his Step Up leading lady Jenna Dewan, who's now his wife. The guys also chatted about high school, dance moves, and surprising things they learned about each other during production on the film. Jonah, who was memorably pranked by his Moneyball costar Brad Pitt, was the victim of another hilarious joke from Channing too.

21 Jump Street: You Have the Right to Laugh Out Loud

There's lots of action in 21 Jump Street — car chases, shootouts, two mismatched partners — but the real reason to see it is that it's side-splittingly funny from beginning to end.

There's lots of action in 21 Jump Street — car chases, shootouts, two mismatched partners — but the real reason to see it is that it's side-splittingly funny from beginning to end. Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill play Jenko and Schmidt, two relatively new cops whose incompetency lands them in an undercover program in high schools. Their assignment is to root out the dealers and suppliers of a dangerous new designer drug. As they spend more time in their new, younger identities, Jenko and Schmidt essentially switch high school personas. Former jock Jenko takes a foray into science with a clique of nerds, while Schmidt is welcomed into the unfamiliar world of the popular crowd. Tatum and Hill get lots of laughs from their nerd/popular kid juxtaposition, and their chemistry is the key to why 21 Jump Street is so entertaining.

The film is inspired by the TV series of the same name, but the new characters have little in common with the show's roster of officers (Johnny Depp's Tom Hanson would so not have approved of throwing a party for underage kids). The movie simply borrows the concept of undercover cops going back to school and runs with it into a hilarious, action-packed direction. Find out the other reasons I loved 21 Jump Street when you keep reading.

Jonah and Channing Ditch Their Cop Uniforms For Suits at the 21 Jump Street Premiere

Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum were back in LA last night for the big premiere of 21 Jump Street.

Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum were back in LA last night for the big premiere of 21 Jump Street. The pair made a quick trip from Austin, TX, yesterday to make it to the red carpet after debuting the comedy at SXSW on Monday. The costars have been showing up to many of their recent press appearances in the bike-cop uniforms they wear in the film. Yesterday, however, they told us they decided to show some respect for the big occasion and wear suits instead so that their parents — who were in attendance — wouldn't get mad at them. In addition to his mother and father, Channing also had his wife Jenna Dewan by his side. She chose a short, white dress, and while Channing did press, she posed for a round of pictures with Jonah.

Jonah and Channing might have been the men of the hour, but their costars in the big-screen reboot of the TV series, among them Ice Cube, Ellie Kemper, Rob Riggle, and Brie Larson, also turned out to support the film. Some original 21 Jump Street alums, including Holly Robinson, also came out to see how Jonah and the directors re-imagined their show. The film features a few notable appearances from stars of the TV series like Holly and Johnny Depp, whose appearance was kept under wraps until recently. Stay tuned for today's PopSugar Rush to catch our interview with Jonah and Channing and find out what they had to say about a potential sequel and to the trait they admire the most about one another.

Channing and Jonah Crack Up and Party at SXSW For 21 Jump Street

Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill took their 21 Jump Street to the SXSW festival in Austin yesterday.

Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill took their 21 Jump Street to the SXSW festival in Austin yesterday. The guys threw on their cop uniforms for an afternoon Q&A with their costars Rob Riggle and Dave Franco, and continued wearing the getups for a p.m. premiere and afterparty. Channing made the rounds with his wife Jenna Dewan. In our recent interview with the stars, Channing said he loves Jonah more than any other previous costar, except of course Jenna, who was his leading lady in Step Up. Reviews for 21 Jump Street so far are amazing, and we'll see if it's able to top reigning box office champ The Lorax this weekend.
