The Cannes Film Festival is well underway, and the South of France has been flooded with stars. Jennifer Lawrence partied with costars Liam Hemsworth and Sam Claflin at the Catching Fire bash on Saturday, while Justin Timberlake and Carey Mulligan had fun at their Inside Llewyn Davis photocall today. Emma Watson took her trip down the red carpet at the premiere of The Bling Ring on Thursday, and Rooney Mara and Casey Affleck promoted their film, Ain't Them Bodies Saints, at a photocall on Saturday. The action wasn't only on the red carpet as Solange Knowles partied it up at the Belvedere bash last night. Other stars like Leonardo DiCaprio, Isla Fisher, Nicole Kidman, and Octavia Spencer have also been getting in on the Cannes fun this week. It was a big night in France as the Cannes Film Festival kicked off with the opening ceremony and the premiere of The Great Gatsby! Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan, Joel Edgerton, Isla Fisher, and Tobey Maguire all hit the red carpet after dressing up for a photocall to promote their film, which is at the festival out of competition, earlier today. Cindy Crawford also showed her support in a white Roberto Cavalli gown while Julianne Moore, Freida Pinto, and juror Nicole Kidman walked the red carpet as well — make sure to check out all the glamorous looks from the Great Gatsby premiere.

They aren't the only stars descending on the French Riviera, since Justin Timberlake, Christoph Waltz, Kirsten Dunst, and others have already arrived to take part in the film festival fun. Leonardo DiCaprio suited up to join his The Great Gatsby leading lady, Carey Mulligan, to kick off the Cannes Film Festival with a glamorous photocall for their film today. Leo and Balenciaga-clad Carey were joined by the rest of their costars, Isla Fisher, Tobey Maguire, Joel Edgerton, as well as the film's director, Baz Luhrmann, as the annual festival got under way in the South of France. It was a busy day for the Gatsby crew, who also participated in a press conference to discuss the film that opened in the US last Friday. Gatsby will make its European premiere tonight in Cannes. The Great Gatsby boasted impressive numbers in its first week, raking in $51.1 million from its US debut.

Leo and his longtime friend Tobey Maguire were reunited at the festival after pairing up earlier this week in NYC. Tobey showed his support at Leonardo's Christie's auction, which raised $35 million to benefit environmental and wildlife conservation efforts, a cause that is backed by the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation.

The Cannes Film Festival opens tomorrow, but celebrities are already making their glamorous French Riviera entrances. Nicole Kidman shimmered onto the scene today, and Steven Spielberg greeted the crowd before heading into a photocall for the festival's jury panel. Cannes first-timer Emma Watson touched down at Nice airport earlier in the day, as did Leonardo DiCaprio.

The festival will start off with a 3D showing of Baz Luhrmann's The Great Gatsby tomorrow and will showcase other highly anticipated films like Ryan Gosling's Only God Forgives and Steven Soderbergh's Behind the Candelabra, starring Michael Douglas and Matt Damon. The international movie madness will run for 12 days and finish on May 26 with awards hand-selected by this year's jury. We'll be on the scene in France, so make sure to check back for updates straight from the festival!

Leo's Star-Studded Auction Makes Millions For the Environment

Leonardo DiCaprio teamed up with Christie's to cohost the 11th Hour Auction in NYC last night.

Leonardo DiCaprio teamed up with Christie's to cohost the 11th Hour Auction in NYC last night. It was a successful event for Leo since the auction reportedly raised $35 million to benefit environmental and wildlife conservation efforts, almost doubling the goal of $18 million. He had the support of his longtime friend and Great Gatsby costar Tobey Maguire, who put in a winning bid on one of 33 pieces of contemporary art. Leo contributed something from his own art collection, a print called "Ocean V" by well-known photographer Andreas Gursky. Also out for the evening were Bradley Cooper, Mark Ruffalo, and Salma Hayek.

It was Leonardo's second art-inspired outing in as many days, since he also made an appearance at the Brant Foundation Art Study Center's Andy Warhol showing in Greenwich, CT, on Sunday. He'll be switching gears from art to film in the coming days, though, when he debuts The Great Gatsby in Cannes later this week.
