Malin Akerman attended the Miss Golden Globe party in LA last night looking svelte as ever in a black cap-sleeve Barbara Bui blazer, which she wore as a plunging top, black leather pants, and black suede Aldo pumps. While we love her all-black getup, it was her orange and white geometric clutch, also by Bui, that really kept our attention. Malin's latest red-carpet look would be fabulous at an upcoming party, so re-create it by wearing all black, then topping it with a funky printed clutch, like this one we love from Tila March ($159, originally $270).

Who Paired Her Lip Shade to Her Dress Best?

A bold lipstick can pull together any look, especially when matched to an amazing outfit.

A bold lipstick can pull together any look, especially when matched to an amazing outfit. Three of Hollywood's finest proved this point flawlessly this week. Nicole Kidman matched her crimson lip color to her red dress, while Malin Akerman showed off Fall's trendy oxblood shade with both her lipstick and her frock. And Rashida Jones picked a hot-pink hue out of her kaleidoscope ensemble to give her ensemble even more edge. This coordinating look is playful and polished, but who wore it best?

Malin Akerman, wearing Hugo Boss, also joined Nicky Hilton and Isabel Lucas. Malin, who's expecting her first child with husband of five years Roberto Zincone, posed for photographers before heading inside the screening. Malin announced that she's expecting late last week, and didn't waste much time before celebrating at Saturday's Environmental Media Awards alongside Ian Somerhalder, Jessica Alba, and Emily VanCamp.

The debut went on without the film's leading man John Krasinski, who was spotted in London over the weekend attending his sister-in-law Felicty Blunt's wedding to Stanley Tucci.

The cool kids kept it coastal this week — and the styles were just as eclectic as the locales.
Best-Dressed Models and Celebrities Week of August 13, 2012

The cool kids kept it coastal this week — and the styles were just as eclectic as the locales. In New York, Prabal Gurung and company celebrated the arrival of the designer's ICB collection at Barneys with tacos, popsicles, and a lively set by indie-dance duo Tanlines. Hanne Gaby Odiele, Elettra Wiedemann, Dani Stahl, Leandra Medine, and Mia Moretti — who also pulled double duty as DJ — were among those in attendance; some even sported looks from the just-in collection. "Tonight is all about celebration, love, support," Gurung told the crowd before the band took the stage at the retailer's darkened Chelsea Co-Op store.

Over in Los Angeles, there was another young label celebrating the launch of its collection at Barneys as well: Vena Cava. Hosted by Gen Art, the party featured a gaggle of Cava gals — including Tennessee Thomas, Malin Akerman, Jenny Lewis, and Busy Philipps — sporting the brand's Fall 2012 looks while St. Vincent performed to a packed-in house at Chateau Marmont.

A peek at all that — plus all of the gorgeous ensembles worn by Jessica Biel and Kate Beckinsale on their Euro tour for Total Recall — here, in our weekly best-of recap.
