The Cannes Film Festival is winding down, but the stars who have made appearances at the international event will have plenty of memories captured by camera lenses, and even a few A-list cell phones. Matt Damon stole the show with his multiple red carpet stops for Behind the Candelabra on Tuesday, while stars like Justin Timberlake and Garrett Hedlund buddied up for a quick iPhone snap. Steven Spielberg took in the massive crowd at the premiere of Inside Llewyn Davis earlier in the week, and Alessandra Ambrosio is just one of several celebrities who documented sightseeing adventures while off the red carpet. Click through to see how stars turned to camera phones and took advantage of photo ops while in Cannes!
Olivia Wilde, Bono, and Richard Branson teamed up with Matt Damon for a new Water.org PSA to protest the lack of access to clean, safe water for billions of people. Matt, who is also Water.org's cofounder, announced his "Toilet Strike" back in February, pledging not to use the bathroom until "everyone in the whole world has access to clean water and sanitation." His support has stirred other stars into action as Olivia, Bono, and Richard released a video of their own today.
The trio of stars featured in the new PSA are just the latest to get behind the protest of the global water crisis since Jessica Biel, Jason Bateman, and Josh Gad made their support public back in March. Matt's not only asking celebrities to back him in his fight, but he's also asking the whole world to join his strikewithme.org campaign. Watch as Olivia, Bono, and Richard get passionate about saying no to the toilet!
Matt Damon and his wife, Luciana, took their girls for a sunny outdoor lunch at the Eden Roc Hotel in Antibes, France, yesterday. Matt sipped white wine and shared a sweet moment with his daughter Gia, showing her the water and pointing out some sights. Matt brought his clan along to Cannes while he promotes Behind the Candelabra, which debuts on HBO this Sunday. The family lunch was just part of a busy day for the actor — he attended a photocall for the film with his costar Michael Douglas and later hit the red carpet with Luciana for the movie's premiere, where he snapped photos of all the fun on his cell phone. In addition to his small-screen project, Matt has also been busy promoting the upcoming sci-fi flick Elysium. He screened trailers for the blockbuster in Mexico and Berlin late last month and will likely make the rounds with costars Jodie Foster and Diego Luna before the film hits theaters in August.
Matt Damon joined up with his Behind the Candelabra costar Michael Douglas to premiere their new film at the Cannes Film Festival today. Matt also had his wife Luciana by his side and they snapped pictures of all the action as they made their way down the carpet. Matt and Michael are screening their HBO project in the South of France before it officially hits the small screen on Sunday, May 26. Earlier in the day, Matt and Michael attended a photo call and a press conference. They have been doing quite a bit of press for the biopic, which follows Liberace, played by Michael, and his young lover, played by Matt. Naturally, a story about a couple had to involve love scenes, and Michael revealed in a recent interview he wasn't exactly put off by the idea of kissing one of America's best-looking actors. He said, "As far as making out with Matt, it’s not so bad. We rehearsed the scenes. For me, I guess the biggest thrill is, when I first saw it, after a few minutes, I really forget it’s Matt. Matt and Mike, you know? I just forget it’s us."
Matt is in Cannes after wrapping up filming for his upcoming film with George Clooney, The Monuments Men, in Germany. The pair celebrated finishing the film by having a boys weekend at George's Lake Como estate earlier this month.
The beaches in the South of France are known for their rather liberal bathing suit requirements, so it was the perfect place to premiere Steven Soderbergh's Liberace biopic, Behind the Candelabra — which, according to star Matt Damon, reveals a "jarring" shot of his own behind. Hear all the details on how Matt and costar Michael Douglas committed to playing lovers and what critics are saying about this daring film, which might be Steven's last.

In June 2004, George invited his Ocean's Twelve cast, crew, and loved ones, including Brad Pitt's then-wife Jennifer Aniston, to relax while shooting the sequel. Though George frequently gets in male bonding with friends like Matt Damon, Rande Gerber, and Bono at his Italian compound, his guests also include his girlfriends over the years. Click through to see who George has whisked away for lakeside romance, as well as which cast mates he regularly entertains.
George Clooney and an in-costume Matt Damon shared a laugh together on the set of The Monuments Men in Bad Grund, Germany, today. George has a good reason to be in a happy mood, as today marks his 52nd birthday. He didn't take any time off from work for his special day, and instead milled around the set with Matt and friend Grant Heslov in between shooting scenes. Yesterday, Matt and George shared a beer with friends outside their hotel in Ilsenburg. Matt is back to work on the World War II flick after taking a short break in mid-April to renew his vows to wife Luciana Damon, accept an award from Harvard, and promote his upcoming summer film, Elysium, in Mexico.
Both Matt and George have been working a lot over the past few months. The two may celebrate the completion of their latest project with a getaway to George's famous Lake Como estate in Italy — check out Matt, Brad Pitt, and more celebrities at George Clooney's house in Lake Como.
