There's lots of big news in this week's casting update, including the latest tidbit that Justin Timberlake has signed on to play '70s record executive Neil Bogart in a biopic. Michael Fassbender is 36 today! The last year has been a good one for Michael, who made many movies and hit his fair share of parties. He worked with director Ridley Scott on The Counselor, made a film with Terrence Malick, and reunited with his Shame director Steve McQueen on Twelve Years a Slave. Despite the long hours on set, he also managed to have some fun, hitting the award season circuit and having memorable trips.

Michael Fassbender turns 36 today, and the fassinating actor is one to watch. The sexy Irishman first came onto the scene by baring it all as a sex addict in the award-buzzy flick Shame, then he spanked Keira Knightley as psychiatrist Carl Jung in A Dangerous Method, and he's done more than one striptease in magazine photo shoots the last few years. Did we mention he speaks fluent German and is set to star alongside Brad Pitt in not one, but two movies out this year? (Plus an unnamed Terrence Malick project with Ryan Gosling!) Besides his devilish grin and proclivity toward playing naughty bad boys, here are a few of the many reasons Michael Fassbender is on our sexy radar.
Michael Fassbender turns 36 this week, so what better time to revisit some of the good-looking actor's most memorable roles? His breakout role in Inglourious Basterds made him one of the most in-demand actors in Hollywood, but Fassbender has been crush-worthy for quite some time. Take a look back at some of his hottest onscreen pictures.
Natalie Portman wore bridal white to shoot a wedding scene with Michael Fassbender in Austin on Friday. They've been working on the project in Texas together for the last week, and it seems they have off-the-screen sexual tension — Natalie and Michael's big-screen ceremony was full of kisses and passionate embraces. Natalie and Michael's collaboration is one of the first big-screen endeavors Natalie's undertaken since welcoming her son, Aleph Millepied, last year, as well as Knight of Cups alongside leading man Christian Bale.
Aleph accompanied Natalie to Texas along with his dad and her husband, Benjamin Millepied. However, Benjamin's own business is taking place in LA. Benjamin's LA Dance Project was the subject of a piece in this weekend's New York Times, and he described the upstart company's mission. Benjamin said of LA, "This city is rich with intellect and culture, but you can't present dance like you would in New York or Paris. Let's bring dance to people who might not come to a formal setting. Let's touch on different aspects of culture and pull people in."
Natalie Portman showed her stomach in a crop top while shooting her still untitled Terrence Malick movie in Austin yesterday. She changed into a slightly more modest shirt, though, to spend the evening in the arms of Michael Fassbender! Natalie and Michael started off their time on set together doing a scene inside a Range Rover, but the passionate plot took them out of their seat belts and onto the grass for a passionate embrace. It's a good thing Natalie and Michael, who's fresh off a stint shooting Ridley Scott's The Counselor, are getting so familiar. They're also set to team up for Jane Got a Gun, a Western in which Natalie stars as a woman trying to save her outlaw husband with the help of her ex, played by Michael. Natalie's eying even more roles, including the possibility of playing Jackie O in a picture called Jackie.
Michael Fassbender strolled onto the London set of The Counselor on Monday with a toothpick hanging out of his mouth. He strutted around in character, while nearby, his costar Javier Bardem tried to keep cool with the aid of a handheld fan. The project has a few of Hollywood's hottest stars making interesting physical transformations. For his part, Javier's sporting spiked hair and glasses, while Cameron Diaz modeled fake neck tattoos and Brad Pitt dressed as a cowboy. Javier's real-life leading lady, Penélope Cruz, also stars in the film, though she's been on the road in recent weeks promoting her forthcoming Twice Born.
The Venice Film Festival is under way! Things kicked off a week ago with the premiere of Kate Hudson and Liev Schreiber's The Reluctant Fundamentalist. Since then, we've seen famous faces like James France, Clive Owen, and Salma Hayek making the rounds. Selena Gomez and her Spring Breakers costars joined in the fun yesterday and Shia LaBeouf got in on the action when he showed off The Company You Keep with Robert Redford today.

Michael Fassbender and his girlfriend Nicole Beharie shared a motorcycle ride in London today. She's in the UK visiting him while he spends time in the UK shooting Ridley Scott's The Counselor with Brad Pitt. Michael actually maintains his home base in London, despite being born in Germany and growing up in Ireland. Nicole, though, is from NYC, which is where she and Michael met while making Shame back in 2011. Michael has said that he and Nicole didn't get together while filming, but rather noticed sparks during their subsequent press tour.
Shia LaBeouf stars in Lawless, out tomorrow, about bootleggers in the Depression era, but he really breaks the rules in his upcoming film Nymphomaniac, in which he has "unsimulated" sex on screen — yes, that means the real deal. Shia told MTV, "It is what you think it is. There's a disclaimer at the top of the script that basically says, we're doing it for real. And anything that is 'illegal' will be shot in blurred images. But other than that, everything is happening." His costars Charlotte Gainsbourg and Willem Dafoe may be offering their advice, since they both appeared in another film with unsimulated sex, Antichrist.
While real sex on screen is the exception, not the rule, plenty of other sexy celebs have practiced their acting skills between the sheets. Even Leonardo DiCaprio is rumored to be baring all in illicit sex scenes in his Scorsese flick The Wolf of Wall Street. In Kristen Stewart's latest project, On the Road, she really pushes the sexual boundaries by going topless, having a threesome, engaging in "road head," and manually stimulating her male costars. On the sex scenes, she said, "I love pushing and I love scaring myself. To watch a genuine [sexual] experience on screen is so much more interesting than when you see the tape holding up the pasties . . . As long as you're being really honest, there's nothing ever to be ashamed of."
Many actors and actresses — like Lena Dunham — say that onscreen sex isn't quite as enjoyable as the real deal, but some stars get really into it. Amanda Seyfried told W magazine she's a big fan of sex scenes. Amanda said, "Jennifer's Body is my favorite movie that I've done . . . They had an extreme close-up of [Megan Fox and my] tongues, and I'm telling you, the thing about the scene is that it's actually really sexy. For a young girl to say that about her own sex scene — it must be because it's special. I think Megan and I kissed really well together. We have similar kissing styles and it worked."
