The stars of The Vampire Diaries and True Blood attend Entertainment Weekly's celeb-filled party at Comic-Con, where many famous faces told us who they'd choose as their superhero sidekick.
There was a whole lot of Comic-Con action going down in San Diego over the weekend. True Blood's Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer were there on Friday to talk about their series, including the future of their characters' relationship. They also gave a teaser showing what's still to come this season on their show. Will Ferrell was there on behalf of his The Other Guys with Mark Wahlberg, who opened up to us about playing good cop with his kids. Their costar Eva Mendes also chatted with us about the great time she had being funny with the boys.
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds were there on Saturday for their Green Lantern panel, and his wife, Scarlett Johansson, later appeared with her Captain America costars like Robert Downey, Jr. Pregnant Ali Larter really showed off her baby bump at a Resident Evil: Afterlife press conference, and Natalie Portman kept the cameos coming while talking about her Thor. Kellan Lutz struck a pose at the Wired Cafe and showed off his new hat, while Scott Pilgrim vs. the World's Anna Kendrick hit up a Syfy channel party that night and Vanessa Hudgens partied with her fellow Sucker Punch actresses. BuzzSugar was there covering all the fun from Southern California, so make sure to check out all the reports from the scene!

Kevin Williamson and the cast of The Vampire Diaries satisfied my appetite for spoilers — but thankfully, didn't give too much away — at their rowdy (and a little raunchy) Comic-Con panel. Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley received equally loud hoots and hollers from the crowd, and Nina Dobrev admits that she can't pick a favorite between the two boys either. Not that she has to — Wesley had "Team Elena" written on his hand for the panel, and Somerhalder had "Team Katherine"! Michael Trevino (Tyler), Matt Davis (Alaric), and Steven R. McQueen (Jeremy) also joined in on the conversation, so keep reading for season two secrets!
- The panel began with a long clip summarizing season one, which of course, ended with a look at Katherine driving a knife straight through Uncle John. So what kind of havoc might she cause? Well, Williamson revealed a few things. For one, we're going to be seeing more Katherine flashbacks, so we'll get a little history on why she's the way she is. Also, they debuted footage from season two, which reveals that Katherine didn't come back to Mystic Falls for Damon — she came for Stefan. She admits to Damon in the clip, "The truth is, I never loved you." Dun, dun, dun! Williamson said that Stefan and Katherine will come face to face in the first episode of the new season, and fellow writer/executive producer Julie Plec hinted that we may see not a love triangle anymore, but "a love square." Sounds like Dobrev has her work cut out for her!
- Jeremy is back! McQueen's presence proved that the character isn't completely gone from next season, but the question is, will he be alive (and human) or undead? Williamson is keeping quiet saying, "Jeremy is going to wake up alive or he’s going to wake up dead, but he will wake up." Personally, I'm glad to see his character sticking around, even if his new circumstances are unclear.

Nina Dobrev joined her handsome Vampire Diaries costars Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley last night at the closing ceremony for the Monte Carlo Television Festival. Since arriving in France, the trio have been busy promoting their series and addressing the ways in which their show is connected to Twilight and True Blood. Jane Lynch, Kevin McHale, and Jenna Ushkowitz from Glee also hit the red carpet along with Cougar Town's Busy Philipps and The Mentalist's Simon Baker. Jenna and Kevin left Jane at their hotel this morning, though, when they hit the beach for a rather cozy-looking swim. Simon had a similar idea, bringing his family along for a day of soaking up the sun in the South of France.

The trio from The Vampire Diaries, Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev, and Paul Wesley, attended events at the Monte Carlo TV Festival on Tuesday and Wednesday. First came a photo call where Ian donned a hat and Nina a headband before yesterday's red carpet. Their European adventure started with a fan meet and greet in London. In a recent overseas interview, Nina addressed some of the other famous bloodsucker entertainment — namely Twilight and True Blood. She said, "I'm very content with not being nude on national television - I enjoy True Blood myself and I watch the show but I'm happy that bra and underwear is as stripped down as I can get for the show. . . I don't think that we're necessarily competitors. . .We're all very supportive of each other. I have friends in all three of the shows that are vampire related, so I'm very happy for all of our successes." The Vampire Diaries group just booked another promotional gig during their Summer break with a scheduled appearance at Comic-Con.

Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev, and Paul Wesley of The Vampire Diaries stuck together last week for a meet and greet in London. Their enthusiastic English fans are apparently intrigued by the mounting love triangle between the trio's small screen characters — though we won't see how their relationships evolve until the series returns in the Fall. The US will be treated to another undead trio this afternoon when Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner from Eclipse hit the MTV Movie Awards!

The pretty young things of the CW had their turn to party last night after a day of presenting their new fall schedule at Upfronts presentations in NYC. The cast of The Vampire Diaries stuck together on the carpet, where Nina Dobrev showed off her tan fresh from a bikini-filled vacation in Turks and Caicos. Ashley Tisdale is joining the network's array of beautiful faces as she started to promote her show, Hellcats. Chace Crawford represented the Gossip Girl crew after Monday's very dramatic season finale. One Tree Hill was saved from cancellation once again, and we're not complaining that it brought Robert Buckley out to the bash. Finally, 90210's AnnaLynne McCord expressed her love for her boyfriend — Twilight's Kellan Lutz, if they're still going strong — on her t-shirt. Beyond Ashley, there's a handful of other fresh faces among the crowd, and Buzz is introducing us to the CW's newest stars!

David Beckham sat courtside last night to watch as the Lakers beat the Jazz in LA. He made friends with Oscar-winner Christoph Waltz after the game, while The Vampire Diaries's Paul Wesley cuddled up to his dark-haired girlfriend. Over in London, Victoria Beckham stepped out this afternoon to do some solo shopping. She headed to England over the weekend, skipping the Costume Institute Gala. She and David have been among the hottest couples on the red carpet at past Met Balls, but this year the task was left to other gorgeous twosomes.

We've already caught a glimpse at this week's Vampire Diaries, but here comes a peek at the last two episodes of this season! In these just-released photos, Isobel returns to Mystic Falls to chat with Elena, but it looks like she has a sexy encounter as well. Or is it just a flashback?! It's all building up to Founder's Day, and I'm practically salivating for the finale — or perhaps that's just the sight of Damon in his open button-down.
