Leonardo DiCaprio and a Viktor and Rolf-wearing Jennifer Lawrence hung out with Jay-Z at The Great Gatsby's premiere afterparty at The Plaza Hotel in NYC last night. While Jay, Leo, and the rest of the cast walked the red carpet at the Great Gatsby premiere, they got a chance to catch up and mingle at the glamorous bash following the screening. Leo's costars Tobey Maguire, Joel Edgerton, and Isla Fisher attended the postcarpet fete, with Isla staying close to husband Sacha Baron Cohen. The afterparty wraps up a busy week of promotions for the Great Gatsby cast. They have been doing press ahead of the project's May 10 release on Good Morning America and they also attended Prada's glamorous cocktail party for the film on Tuesday. Before the parties and TV appearances, the cast joined up for a press conference in NYC on Sunday — read the five things we learned from The Great Gatsby's revealing press conference.
Anne and Amanda Celebrate Les Mis With Sacha and Isla!
Anne Hathaway shared laughs and drinks with her Les Misérables costars at a special pre-Oscars bash in LA last night. She donned a Theyskens' Theory minidress as she celebrated with a Dior-wearing Amanda Seyfried, Eddie Redmayne, and Isla Fisher, who attended the shindig with her husband, Sacha Baron Cohen. The Les Misérables fete supported the Los Angeles Fund For Public Education, and drew other celebrities like Adrien Brody and Judy Greer. The celebration wasn't to be confused with the separate Vanity Fair party for Silver Linings Playbook, which also benefited education in LA and was held on the same night.
The pre-Oscars parties are just getting started, and the casts of both films will have plenty of chances to celebrate before Oscar night on Sunday, Feb. 24. Don't forget to fill out our Oscar ballot for a chance to win $1,000 and an iPad.
Anne, Hugh, And More Party With Their Awards at NBC's Globes Fête
Golden Globes winners Anne Hathaway and Hugh Jackman celebrated their wins with their fellow award recipients and Hollywood friends when they attended the NBC Golden Globes afterparty last night. Hugh posed with director Tom Hooper while Anne was joined by Les Misérables costars Eddie Redmayne, Amanda Seyfried, and Sacha Baron Cohen on the red carpet. Sacha caused quite the stir at the Globes when he presented and proceeded to roast his fellow costars, including poking fun of Anne's now-infamous up-skirt incident at the film's premiere back in December. However, it looks like Anne wasn't offended by Sacha's ribbing as she happily smiled with him for photos. Jessica Chastain also attended the event and proudly showed off her award while grinning for the photographers. Olympic gold medalists Gabby Douglas, Aly Raisman, and Missy Franklin dropped by the event, along with Smash star Megan Hilty.
Les Misérables: Stands on Its Own
To say that Les Misérables is a musical would be the understatement of the century. The dialogue in the film is sung nearly 100 percent of the time, setting it apart from pretty much every other musical-turned-movie. If three hours of straight singing doesn't sound like your cup of tea, then Les Mis probably isn't for you, but if you appreciate complex characters, an emotionally charged story, and yes, beautiful music, then you're in for a treat.

The story of Les Misérables is one of redemption, with Hugh Jackman carrying most of the burden as Jean Valjean, an ex-convict determined to get a fresh start and live as an honest man in 19th century France. Standing in his way is Javert (Russell Crowe), an inspector determined to put Valjean back in prison. The two square off again and again throughout the years, and along the way, Valjean rescues a poor girl named Cosette from the clutches of two dishonest innkeepers (played to comedic perfection by Sacha Baron Cohen and Helena Bonham Carter) and eventually joins a Parisian uprising. Anne Hathaway Goes Dark and Dramatic at NYC's Les Misérables Premiere
Anne Hathaway made a dramatic entrance to the NYC premiere of Les Misérables last night. She wore a striking black Tom Ford gown and bold red lip after donning a floral number for a stop by The Late Show earlier today. Her leading lady Amanda Seyfriend chose a similarly bold look in Alexander McQueen. As they walked into the Zeigfeld Theater, Anne joked about the length of Amanda's train. Anne picked up the back of Amanda's dress and said, "Can I be your bridesmaid?"
Anne and her costars, including Hugh Jackman and Russell Crowe, have been busy promoting the film, which hits theaters on Christmas Day, and attended the big London premiere last week following a trip to Japan. Sacha Baron Cohen and his wife, Isla Fisher, stepped out for that event, as did Eddie Redmayne and Russell.

The Les Misérables fun continued following the world premiere in London's Leicester Square with an afterparty last night. Hugh Jackman, Eddie Redmayne, Sacha Baron Cohen, and Isla Fisher all made their way from the red carpet to the bash, where Goldie Hawn popped up to celebrate. The film's press tour will continue with a big premiere in NYC on Monday, just ahead of the Christmas Day opening. The whole celeb group was treated to a performance from NYC rapper Azealia Banks and jokes from hosts Jimmy Carr and David Walliams. Jimmy got things off on a cheeky note by saying, "Prince Harry would have been here tonight, but he didn't have anything to wear." Michael Fassbender took home a statue too as actor of the year.
