Sheryl Crow Is All Smiles on the Beach With Her Boys
Sheryl Crow hung out in Venice Beach, CA, with her sons, Wyatt and Levi, yesterday. The trio played in the sand and later rode around the boardwalk on bicycles. Sheryl let loose with her boys after getting caught in the middle of her ex Lance Armstrong's doping controversy, which he finally admitted to in an interview with Oprah Winfrey that aired last week. Sheryl told Entertainment Tonight that she thinks "that honesty is always the best bet and that the truth will set you free. To carry around a weight like that would be devastating in the long run." Sheryl added of Lance, whom she dated from 2003 to 2006, that "I know how hard he worked to win those titles, and you know, it was hard to watch." Sheryl isn't just in the spotlight because of Lance's drama, though. Since she's also an adviser on The Voice this season and will be working with Blake Shelton's team.

Carrie, Miranda, Hayden, and More Celebrate CMT's Artist of the Year
Carrie Underwood, dressed in a sexy jumpsuit from designer Katharine Kidd, stepped out with her husband, Mike Fisher, in Franklin, TN, last night for the taping of CMT's Artist of the Year celebration. The special was hosted by Nashville's Hayden Panettiere and country group Rascal Flatts. CMT hasn't announced this year's honorees, though the top-secret list will finally be revealed when the show airs Dec. 8 at 10 p.m./9 p.m. C.
Carrie was all smiles on the carpet and took to the stage inside. She's been on the road recently performing songs from her latest album, Blown Away, and she just landed a new role in front of the cameras. Carrie's been cast to play Maria in The Sound of Music musical headed to NBC.
Miranda Lambert hit the red carpet, though her number one guy, Blake Shelton, missed out due to scheduling. Blake was tied up on the West Coast shooting The Voice and cheering on his two remaining contestants, Terry McDermott and Cassadee Pope. Sheryl Crow was also on hand for CMT's event and looked lovely in a floor-length black gown.
Sheryl Crow Says "Please Don't Worry About My Brain Tumor"
Sheryl Crow has a benign brain tumor, she announced in a recent interview. Sheryl told the Las Vegas Review Journal, "I haven't really talked about it. In November, I found out I have a brain tumor. But it's benign, so I don't have to worry about it." After worrying about memory loss — during a recent Florida performance, she forgot some of the lyrics to "Soak Up the Sun" — an MRI revealed the news.

Even if benign, it can still be terrifying news to take in, especially knowing that this isn't her first brush with cancer. The upside is that this type of tumor typically doesn't require surgery. Sheryl assured fans on her Facebook page:
"Hey everyone — please don't worry about my "brain tumor," it's a non-cancerous growth. I know some folks can have problems with this kind of thing, but I want to assure everyone I'm OK. I'm feeling very healthy and happy, and having a great time on the road playing with my new band. I'm busy working on my next record too, which 'm very excited about . . . and I'll be on The Tony Awards this Sunday. Really appreciate everyone's love and concern, I feel so blessed to have the support of all my fans, but I'm good — really! Love, Sheryl
This is a good reminder to listen to our bodies and to not ignore little health issues or symptoms we're noticing. Whether you have a nagging pain in your belly, unusual bouts of dizziness, or you've discovered a tiny bump on your skin — whatever it is that has you worrying so much that you're losing sleep — take Sheryl's experience as a gentle push to take a break from your busy life and make an appointment with your doc to ease your anxiety.
