Simon Cowell Lounges Shirtless With His Ex on a Yacht

Simon Cowell continued his three-week yachting vacation with a stop in St. Barts yesterday.

Simon Cowell continued his three-week yachting vacation with a stop in St. Barts yesterday. Last week, he visited Barbados, where he went jet skiing with his former fiancée, Mezhgan Hussainy. She's been along for the trip despite their breakup last year and the news that he's in another relationship. Simon confirmed that he's dating Carmen Electra earlier this month, though she hasn't been spotted on the getaway.

It looks like Simon is relaxing before jumping into a busy 2013 that already includes a possible X Factor shake-up with reports that Britney Spears will be fired from her judging spot. She hasn't commented on the rumors and instead remains focused on other projects, including "working hard" on new music.

Simon Cowell was spotted in Barbados yesterday on one of his favorite modes of transportation — a jet ski! The X Factor judge hit the seas in a pair of wild board shorts and showed off his toned torso while navigating the waves alongside his former fiancée, Mezhgan Hussainy. Simon is currently in the midst of a three-week holiday and appears to be doing his best to unwind after closing out another tumultuous season of The X Factor.

Tate Stevens won the $5 million recording contract last week, beating out Britney Spears's 13-year-old hopeful, Carly Rose Sonenclar, and Simon's girl group, Fifth Harmony. The show may have wrapped, but new rumors are swirling that Britney will be fired from the show. There's been no comment from Spears or Simon at this point, though fellow judge L.A. Reid confirmed he won't be back for a third season.

Britney Spears Supports Carly as Tate Stevens Wins The X Factor

L.A. Reid's protégé Tate Stevens was named the winner of The X Factor season two last night.

L.A. Reid's protégé Tate Stevens was named the winner of The X Factor season two last night. The country star beat out Britney Spears's protégée Carly Rose Sonenclar and Simon Cowell's Fifth Harmony for the top spot and a $5 million recording contract. Carly finished second while Fifth Harmony placed third. Britney shared her support for Carly on Twitter, writing, "You are a winner in my eyes tonight Carly and I know you're going to have a very long career." The event wasn't just about music, though, since judge Demi Lovato, who didn't have anyone in the finals, wowed in a hologram minidress with cutout details. Cohost Khloé Kardashian wore a sequined pink look and later changed into black leather with a rhinestone headband from Untamed Petals. Special guests included One Direction and Pitbull, who both performed during the special finale.

Although her protégée didn't win, Britney said that The X Factor has been a positive influence on her and has helped her get over her shyness. Britney said, "It's no secret I'm a shy person. I feel doing this show over the past year has allowed me to come out of my shell a lot more. Everyone on the show has been amazing and made me feel really comfortable." Britney clearly enjoys her time on The X Factor and has already confirmed that she'll return for season three.

Britney Spears Debuts a New Video While X Factor Contestants Sing No. 1 Hits

The X Factor contestants brought their A-game last night for another evening of live performances in LA.

The X Factor contestants brought their A-game last night for another evening of live performances in LA. We were on hand for the Pepsi LIVE preshow and sat in the audience while front-runners Carly Rose Sonenclar, Tate Stevens, Emblem 3, and the five other remaining contestants sang No. 1 hits. Carly Rose put her own spin on Adele's chart-topping single "Rolling in the Deep" while Tate stuck to his country roots and performed Keith Urban's "Somebody Like You."

The contestants didn't disappoint, but the highlight of the two-hour show went to Britney Spears and the world premiere of her new video with Will.i.am, "Scream & Shout." Britney lent her vocals to the song's intro and chorus and looked incredibly hot dancing throughout the video in an ab-baring minidress. Britney and her fellow judges, L.A. Reid, Simon Cowell, and Demi Lovato, return to the small screen tonight for the double elimination results show.

The X Factor put their 12 remaining contestants through the wringer last night when they had to perform songs from music's greatest divas like Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, and Tina Turner. Judges Britney Spears, Simon Cowell, Demi Lovato, and L.A. Reid sat front and center while the hopefuls pulled out all the stops to save themselves from elimination. First up was Jennel Garcia, who set a high bar with her performance of "Proud Mary." Next, fan favorite Tate Stevens took on Shania Twain's "From This Moment On." Britney's team of young adults, made up of Diamond White, Beatrice Miller, Arin Ray, and Carly Rose Sonenclar, made her proud with four impressive ballads.

The night was full of highlights, though there was a tense moment when L.A. gave harsh criticism to Cece Frey's rendition of Celine Dion's "All by Myself." Demi, who mentors Cece, fired back at L.A. and challenged his opinion. We'll have to wait and see if Demi's support was enough to save Cece from elimination when the show returns tonight with a results episode that also includes a performance from Taylor Swift.

Britney, Demi, Simon, and L.A. Send X Factor Hopefuls Home

The X Factor filmed live in LA last night with judges Britney Spears, Simon Cowell, Demi Lovato, and L.A.

The X Factor filmed live in LA last night with judges Britney Spears, Simon Cowell, Demi Lovato, and L.A. Reid. The group was tasked with each cutting one member of their team, though Simon had to ax an entire group. Demi was the first to whittle down her team to three, and in doing so, ended Willie Jones's chances in the competition. Next, L.A. said farewell to David Correy, and Britney cut Diamond White from her squad. Britney was visibly torn over the decision to drop a contestant, saying, "They're all like my children." Simon closed out the evening in a dramatic fashion by sending girl group 1432 into the final 12, while another group, Sister C, were sent packing.

The X Factor's second season has been full of shakeups, and even though the show's already been renewed for a third season, rumors are swirling that Britney's still undecided about returning in 2013. Did one of your favorites go home last night?
