If you're still having trouble deciding what to dress up as for Halloween, look back, not forward. Here's what we mean: some of the best and easiest costumes are inspired by the colorfully cool '90s. From the princess of pop to the daughter of doom, get inspired by these eight nostalgic looks. Plus, we've shared the essentials you need for re-creating them. Shall we do the time warp?

01

Cher

Not go out for Halloween? As if! Especially since dressing up as Cher from Clueless is so easy. All you need is some lip gloss, blush, tamed brows, and a killer blowout. Wrap up your preppy look with a headband.

02

Kelly Kapowski

If you're in the school spirit, another option is to go out as Bayside High School's most popular cheerleader, Kelly Kapowski. All you need to put some pep in your step (and face) is a good glow, volumizing mascara, red lipstick, and a high ponytail. Oh, and some pom poms.

03

Lisa Frank Cheetah

Relive the joy you experienced collecting all of those rainbow-infused stickers and, likely, at least one Trapper Keeper by channeling Lisa Frank's infamous cheetah. Just grab some pink lipstick (the brighter, the better), glitter, and false lashes and prepare to mystify.

04

Britney Spears

What goes into the making (and remaking) of America's pop princess, Britney Spears? A lot of pink lip gloss. Throw on a sparkly shade along with some silver eye shadow, black eyeliner, and flirty, volumizing mascara. Then, dust some bronzer, well, everywhere, and you're ready to take the stage. Just don't call it a comeback.

05

Spice Girls

Get the group back together with the help of a good eye and lip palette. Dip into the neutrals for Posh, the pinks and blues for Baby, copper for Scary, orange for Ginger, and no-makeup makeup for Sporty. You can also purchase color spray or wigs if your hair hue doesn't match your Spice Girl of choice.

06

Wednesday Addams

If you're creepy and you know it, join the Addams family as their less-than-thrilled daughter Wednesday. Pat on some white face powder and swipe on dark lipstick, fill in your brows, and wrap up your look with some braided pigtails. Bonus points if you master that judging stare.

07

Sailor Moon

Become a champion of love and justice with the help of some standard beauty go-tos. Apply pink gloss to the lips and cheeks, then use white, pink, and blue eye shadow along with black liner to create a dramatic eye. Bonus points if you hand-paint your own tiara (all you need is yellow and red cream makeup).

08

A Troll Doll

Go out as the treasure you know you are. Start out with some nude lipstick and black mascara. Then, apply bright purple shadow to your cheeks and eye lids. Tease your hair upward and outward — don't afraid to get wild — and coat with matching purple colored hair spray.
