Why This Woman's Powerful Photo of Herself Shaving Her Face Is Going Viral

Tina-Marie Beznec is a fitness blogger who struggles with polycystic ovary syndrome and the difficult symptoms that result from the hormonal disorder. In what appears to be an effort to raise awareness about PCOS, Tina-Marie shared a candid photo of herself shaving her face on a popular Australian blogger's page, and it has since gone viral.

In the post, Tina-Marie listed the many symptoms of PCOS, which include depression, abdominal pains, acne, and facial hair — which explains the shaving photo. To that effect, she wrote, "I've always been super self conscious about it, but really just have to put this out there because I want create more awareness around this syndrome and how much it can impact someone's life especially if they don't know they have it."

The heartfelt post ended with a reminder to not categorize people based on their physical appearances. She wrote, "I know it's only natural for some of us to judge someone based on how they look but remember we are all fighting our own battles and you can never understand if you aren't willing to learn and listen." The blogger, Constance Hall, has since shared the post on her Facebook, where it has racked up over 3,000 shares and 8,000 reactions.
