This Confetti Manicure DIY Is Perfect For Your Graduation
Fashion and beauty have always been powerful mediums with which to express ourselves, so we partnered with POPSUGAR Must Have to find a beauty trend that would help us showcase our personal style.
You've worked hard in school, focused in all of your classes, and done more late-night studying than you'd like to admit, but now the payoff has arrived: your graduation. Whether you're matriculating from high school or college, it's important to take a moment for yourself and enjoy the academic accomplishment. And what better way to really flaunt that success story than with a fun and festive confetti-inspired manicure? It's celebratory without being too silly, which is why it's the perfect nail art to wear when you walk across that stage to receive your diploma.
Here's what you'll need:
- Habit Cosmetics Nail Polish in Nefertiti
- Hole Punch
- Colored Tissue Paper
- Tweezers
- Scissors
- Clear Polish
Step 1
On clean and dry hands, apply two coats of gold metallic polish. Wait to dry.
Step 2
Punch small circles out of colorful tissue paper. Keep in mind that deeper, more saturated shades work better than light pastels.
Step 3
Apply thin coat of clear topcoat to nails, then use a tweezer to secure a piece of confetti onto the nail, carefully patting it into place. Play around with different formats and feel free to overlap. Trim edges with scissors when you're finished.
Step 4
Get ready to graduate!
