Stocking up on different body scrubs, oils, and lotions has seriously depleted our bank account (hey, it's bikini season and we need all the help we can get). That's why we're turning to DIY. This organic scrub is a combination of ingredients you already have stocked in your kitchen cupboard — sugar, oil, and rosemary. The coarse granules will help you exfoliate flaky skin and the oil moisturizes (without leaving you greasy). What sets this beauty recipe a part is the essential oil combination of grapefruit and rosemary. They both have antibacterial and antimicrobial properties. Plus, the botanical scent with a hint of fruit will energize your senses. Keep reading to get the step-by-step instructions, including our decorating tips.

The Process

Mix your sugar and oil. You want the consistency to remain grainy, not soupy. Add in all the essential oils, which will give the scrub a fruity and energizing scent. Give the mixture color by sprinkling in a few rosemary leaves.
