Contouring is a technique that can require a multitude of products (think: Beautyblenders, concealer and foundation, highlighter, buffing brushes, etc.). But for many women looking to sculpt their faces, building out a sculpting stash can be all too complicated.

Celebrity makeup artist Joey Maalouf, who has glammed famous faces like Jessica Alba, Molly Sims, and Rachel Zoe, was aware of the need for an easier way to enhance your features. That's why he teamed up with FabFitFun to create his very first line of cosmetics, ISH (or #IMSMOKINGHOT). His exciting collection includes a four-piece contouring kit and three brushes for effective, no-fuss makeup application.

We spoke with Joey during an intimate dinner for the launch of ISH, and he told us that the name for his collection was inspired by the drag-queen slang word "fish," meaning "the most feminine [drag queen] of them all." Joey decided to drop the F, and ISH was born. Once he named his line, he discovered that it was just more than a catchy moniker — its longer title, #IMSMOKINGHOT, became more of a girl-power campaign for Joey.

"I wanted to create something that would make women feel empowered to not erase their face to be beautiful," he told us. One of the beliefs behind ISH is that cosmetics are tools for demonstrating self-expression and building confidence. This prompted Joey and FabFitFun to team up with I Am That Girl, an online community that fosters the emotional, mental, and physical well-being of young girls. ISH will be sponsoring 100 girls through IATG's self-esteem-building programs, and IATG Founder Emily Greener has also gotten on board with ISH as a creative consultant.

Joey's desire to simplify the contouring process shows in his new launch. The multitasking kit comes in two flattering shades for a range of skin tones. Each set includes a contouring and highlighting powder, along with a blush and bronzer. The pigments of each powder are all very potent, are easy for beginners to wield, and can also be used to create a variety of eye looks to complement your bronzed complexion.

ISH also carries brushes for bronzer and contouring and a double-ended product for applying highlighter and blush, so you don't need an array of tools to intensify your glow. While both the brushes and palette work together, Joey insists that every girl should stock up on the palette.

"Even without the correct tools, contouring is all about placement, and you can even achieve that with your fingers." The versatility of the set of colors also helps honor Joey's number-one rule of contouring: less is more. "Don't think too hard. Contour your cheekbones and always add a pop of color to the cheeks, I think the face needs that."

The future of ISH is already looking pretty hot with a multitude of products in the works. A primer is on the horizon — right in time for the Summer heat. Joey also revealed that his "dream" product is set to be available this Winter, and he hopes to kick off 2017 with a full range of color cosmetics. While we'll all be patiently waiting for these new goodies from the makeup expert, snag the first ISH releases on ISHbeauty.com. Read on to see the smoking-hot products from the line.
