Rainbow Nails Get an Elevated Update With This Ombré Design

After a quick look at this rainbow-meets-ombré nail art, you'd probably dismiss it as being too difficult. We can't blame you, but once you watch the full video, you'll see that it's actually pretty simple. It's just dependent on one product you probably already own and an assortment of different polish colors.

In the tutorial, the YouTube vlogger behind cutepolish demonstrates the design, which requires some tape, makeup sponges, and a lacquer in every color of the rainbow. After painting all of her nails a simple neutral shade, she uses the tape to create a triangular stencil on the surface of each talon. She then applies the polishes in ROYGBIV-ordered stripes across the makeup sponge and stamps it onto her nails (repeating the process twice for higher opacity).

Once the lacquer has dried, she removes the tape and applies a layer of topcoat, showing off a bright manicure you'll want to rock all Summer long.
