Is Kylie Jenner Ripping Off This Makeup Artist's Designs?

Not everyone is excited about Kylie Cosmetics's holiday collection. Los Angeles-based makeup artist Vlada Haggerty recently posted two shots on Instagram: a photo from the brand's campaign next to an artistic image of her own. Both images feature gold-painted fingers covering the model's eyes and showcase ruby-red lips. The similarity is immediately apparent. "Haven't you gotten enough 'inspiration' from me already?" Haggerty asked of Kylie.

Fans of the reality star seem skeptical of the accusations, and the comments section on Vlada's Instagram is flooded with fans both arguing for and against Kylie. Some say that the company should give credit to the makeup artist, and others claim that the ideas could have been a coincidence.

However, this isn't the first time Haggerty has pointed out similarities between Kylie's brand's imagery and her own. Vlada's Instagram is filled with photographs of lips dripping with product, which bears a strong resemblance to the Kylie Cosmetics's logo. She claims that her images predate the design.

"If you go way down my page you will see the date of the original post that 'inspired' her team," she said on an image of dripping lips. "You know what I mean when I say 'inspired.' So, please refrain from saying I am copying her because it's the other way around."

Kylie Cosmetics hasn't responded to these allegations and has continued to promote the holiday collection.
