Jeremy Allen White Knows Carmy Needs a Hairnet

Jeremy Allen White's hair in "The Bear" is great in theory. The actor is currently receiving much praise and attention for his portrayal of chef Carmen Berzatto in "The Bear," which was just
renewed for a second season. In the unnervingly fast-paced series, White has perfectly floppy hair that feels like a natural evolution from his overgrown curls as Lip Gallagher in "Shameless." White didn't, however, consider practicality.

In a July 25 appearance on "Late Night With Seth Meyers," White said his character should absolutely be wearing a hairnet. "I thought it looked great on the show, but it's weird, a lot of people are calling out — and they're not wrong — that I should have been wearing a cap." (It's worth noting, though, that not much about The Original Beef of Chicagoland is up to code.) White added, "I should have been wearing something because so much of Carmy's hair is probably in all those sandwiches."

White also shared that his untamed mane was inspired by Marco Pierre White and the photo on one of his book covers. White doesn't name the book, but it's most likely the chef's first cookbook, "White Heat," or his autobiography, "The Devil in the Kitchen."
