Adele Says Her Son Has Made Her a More Emotional Person

In a recent interview with Today's Matt Lauer, Adele talked about motherhood, her music, and how she's never been happier than she is right now. A lot has changed since Adele was last in the spotlight. Not only does the British singer hold the No. 1 album spot on Billboard's best top 200 albums of all time, but she's also a mother to her 3-year-old son, Angelo. While Adele has always had heartfelt lyrics, she claims that her son has made her a more emotional person "in every single way possible."

Even though her new album, 25, has caused a fan frenzy, Adele claims that she really hit a roadblock while writing it. "I found it impossible for a while. I didn't know what I wanted to write about. . . . What's wrong is I wasn't sad." Which is why her single "Hello" holds such significance, because it's the singer's way of reconnecting with herself and her fans. "I couldn't get over my guilt of leaving my kid to go and write a record and stuff like that. So [it's] getting over that — getting on the other side of that. It was just, you know, it's in general, just hello to everyone."
