Amy Schumer Brings Attention to an Important Issue With a Nearly Naked Photo

Amy Schumer took to Instagram on Thursday to share a racy photo of herself with her 4.4 million followers. But while other celebrities (we're looking at you, Kim Kardashian) post naked photos on the regular just because they feel like it, Amy took this opportunity to bring attention to an issue that is extremely close to her heart. Alongside a photo of herself wearing just a brightly colored sports bra and nothing else, she wrote, "Today please #wearorange for gun safety! #everytown."

Amy's efforts to stop gun violence made headlines last July when two people were killed while watching a screening of her movie Trainwreck in a Louisiana theater. Nine people were also injured in the attack, and the actress quickly spoke out about the heartbreak and anger she felt. "The pain I share with so many other Americans on the issue of gun violence was made extremely personal to me," she said, referring to the shooting. "I have thought about these victims each day since the tragedy. Unless something is done and done soon, dangerous people will continue to get their hands on guns." See her photo below.
