Angelina Jolie Shares a Heartbreaking Message in London

Angelina Jolie made an appearance at the House of Lords in London on Tuesday to speak to the select committee on sexual violence in conflict. The actress shared evidence of the ongoing issues, stating, "For over 10 years I've been visiting the field and meeting with families and survivors of sexual violence who felt for so long that their voices simply didn't matter. They weren't heard and they carried a great shame." She then went on to recount specific stories of meeting young women and children who had been the victims of sexual violence.
