Blake Lively Opens Up About Pregnancy

In a story called "Bringing Up Baby" on Blake Lively's website, Preserve, Blake wrote about pregnancy and preparing to become a mom. Along with several party pictures, the actress shared a short message, saying, "With a new baby on the way there is so much to do! But before experiencing the joy of 3 a.m. screams, seemingly impossible amounts of poop, and having a favorite shirt covered in reflux . . . there are presents to open, onesies to dye, there is cake to serve, advice to be shared, and all-around celebration to be had." Blake first announced the news of her pregnancy in an editor's letter on the site celebrating "all the expecting mothers out there" and a photo of her growing baby bump. In the original post, she wrote:

"Preserve at its core is about family.

Family is the single word our founder, Blake built this home on.

We have something for men, for women, for the old, but we realized, we don't have anything for the new.

With family on our mind, we looked to the origin of it all—to the women in our lives who are right there, at that special moment; at the creation of family.

Today we celebrate them. With food to fill their tummies (as if that needs more filling), presents to soothe their tired (and swollen) soles, toys to warm their baby's souls, projects to provoke them, and decorations to inspire creativity and merriment in all.

We had too much fun with this. Because there's so much to share, we break up our first ever Preserve Celebration into multiple parts. In the upcoming days we will bring even more treats and fun. The entire next month will be sprinkled with highlights for women in this exciting chapter of their lives.

This will be the pair's first child. The couple has been dating since 2011 and secretly got married back in the Fall of 2012 during an intimate ceremony in South Carolina.
