Chance the Rapper Talks About That 1 Time He Got Drunk at the White House

Chance the Rapper stole the hearts of people everywhere when he had the cutest (and most relatable) reaction when running into Beyoncé at the MTV Video Music Awards in August. And during his very first appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Thursday, his likability basically went through the roof. Chance, whose real name is Chancelor Bennett, sat down with the host to talk about everything from why his music is free to his fun connection to President Barack Obama. When Ellen brought up how she invited Chance to be on her show when they ran into each other at the White House, Chance said, "That means so much that you actually did bring me on the show, because when you said that, we were at a White House party — and I don't get invited to White House parties — but I was in it, I was reveling in it. I was drunk, and like, I couldn't remember if when you said that — I was telling stories like, 'Yeah, man, Ellen said she was gonna have me on the show,' and I was like, 'Did she say that?!'"
