Misty Copeland Marries Longtime Love Olu Evans

Ballet dancer Misty Copeland married her partner of 10 years, Olu Evans, on Sunday. Her rep confirmed that the couple tied the knot in front of 100 guests at the Montage Hotel in Laguna Beach, CA. The bride stunned in an Inbal Dror gown and Christian Louboutin shoes. Misty and Olu, an attorney and cousin of actor Taye Diggs, got engaged back in August 2015. Around that time, Misty revealed her wedding dress plans to Vanity Fair: "It's very different for a performer, a ballerina, someone who is on stage a lot and wears big costumes. So it's not like this is my chance to be that way, because that's something I do every day, almost. I want to feel like myself — but more beautiful than I do every day."

Misty has taken the world by storm this year, becoming the first black woman to become a principal dancer at the American Ballet Theatre in NYC. She also got her own Barbie doll and was cast in Disney's live-action film adaptation of The Nutcracker. Congrats to Misty and Olu on their nuptials!
