Taylor Swift Shares the 1 Lesson She Learned From Her Feud With Nicki Minaj

Taylor Swift may have recently landed her first-ever GQ cover, but that's not the only magazine she appears on this month. The singer also graces the cover of NME's October issue, where she talks about her mini feud with Nicki Minaj, plus how things are going with Kanye West. As a refresher, Taylor tweeted at Nicki back in July after the rapper complained about the lack of black vocalists nominated for MTV VMAs. In the weeks that followed, Taylor tweeted an apology, Nicki said they were "all good" during her interview on Good Morning America, and the pair shared the stage at the VMAs. In the wake of it all, though, Taylor has learned a valuable lesson. See her quotes below.

  • On her mini feud with Nicki: "I don't want to talk about it . . . But I send text messages now. If there seems to be some kind of misunderstanding, I go to someone's management, I get their number and I text them. It's an important lesson for anyone to learn in 2015."
  • On her relationship with Kanye West: "Me and Kanye are on such good terms now, six years later. It took a while."
  • On a hilarious dinner scenario with Kanye: "I had to tell Beck this story earlier. I was at dinner with Kanye a week after the Grammys, he stops what he's saying and he goes, 'What is this song? I need to listen to this every day.' I said, 'It's Beck, it's on an album called 'Morning Phase', I think you've heard of it . . . ' We just burst out laughing. And he says, 'Hey, sometimes I'm wrong.'"
