The Story Behind Twenty One Pilots's Pantless Acceptance Speech Is Actually Adorable
Twenty One Pilots won their very first Grammy on Sunday night for best pop duo/group performance, but when they took the stage to accept their award, a very strange thing happened: the boys pulled down their pants. While many were left confused, the story behind their stunt is pretty adorable, actually. "It was before Josh and I were able to make money playing music and I called him up and said, 'Hey Josh! Do you want to come over to my rental house and watch the Grammys?'" Tyler Joseph explained. "As we were watching, we noticed that every single one of us was in our underwear . . . We were no one at that time — and [I] said, 'If we ever go to the Grammys, if we ever win a Grammy, we should receive it just like this.'" And that's exactly what they did.
