Michelle Williams and Busy Philipps Step Out at the Critics' Choice Awards

Michelle Williams and Busy Philipps celebrated their friendship with a night out at the Critics' Choice Awards. On Jan. 15, the pair stepped out on the red carpet before the show, where Williams was nominated for best supporting actor for her role in "The Fabelmans." In the movie, which was also nominated for best picture, Williams plays Mitzi Fabelman, who was inspired by Steven Spielberg's mother.

Williams and Philipps have been friends since they met in 1998 on the set of "Dawson's Creek." They frequently celebrate their successes online and off, supporting each other through challenges and accompanying each other to award shows from time to time.

In 2020, Philipps celebrated Williams's 40th birthday with a heartfelt Instagram post. "We met 20 years ago, which makes no sense because we're still 27," she wrote. "I really wish I could be with my friend tonight celebrating how special and incredible and brilliant she is. And to tell her in person how I'm eternally grateful that we met all those years ago because there's no one I'd rather weather all the storms with and celebrate all the wonderful things with and cry and cry and laugh and laugh and drink and not drink with."

Back in 2018, Williams also paid tribute to their decades-long bond. "I said to her recently, 'You have really saved me from ever being lonely because you are always right there.' We are so close and can tell each other everything," she wrote in an Instagram post celebrating their movie "I Feel Pretty." "I don't know what I would be or who I would be without Busy."
