Mila Kunis Is Just Grateful She Doesn't Have a "Demon Baby" — Yet

Months before Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher announced they were expecting a second child, I got the chance to talk to Mila on the set of her new film, Bad Moms. Sitting next to her costars, Kristen Bell and Kathryn Hahn, Mila spoke to our small group of reporters in the salad dressing aisle of a supermarket on the outskirts of New Orleans. It wouldn't be the place I'd think she'd get candid about motherhood, but I was wrong. In fact, given that her character in the comedy is a suburban mother who is stretched too thin and snaps under the pressure of perfection, she was more than happy to talk about what it's been like bringing up little Wyatt Isabelle. Warning: the following quotes are extremely relatable.

She's in a parenting sweet spot: "I only have one little human. She's not so bad. These two got two. I have an amazing husband and my parents live in same town as I do . . . but she's only 17 months old. She's rambunctious but she's not there yet where she's two and a half and I'm like 'Holy sh*t, this is demon baby.'"
She's definitely been afraid of her kid's snot: "I think people like to know they're not alone. I think that the second you're like, 'Oh wait' and that you can put humor at it, and it's something that you can make light of. I think before my parents were raising my brother and I, everything had to go perfectly . . . Nowadays, if sh*t's going wrong and I call my best friend and I'm like, 'I don't know, this color is coming out of her nose and I'm pretty sure she's dying.' And it's okay to do that now, but I don't know if it necessarily was okay before. I think this movie brings light to that."
She trades motherhood horror stories with her pals on the regular: "My friends have always been very open with their horrible day excursions. I think we all have some. I don't know that this would be necessarily prompting my friends to be like, 'Oh wait, me too!' It mostly happens every day — they're like, 'Holy sh*t, let me tell you about what happened today.' I think it's an everyday occurrence."
She hasn't had to interact with strict moms yet, but she seems to have a good mindset: "I'm not there yet; that's these two [Kristen and Kathryn]. I'm like 'F*ck you, mothers.'"
Why comparing yourself other moms is such a bad thing: "It's the competitive energy that is so destructive. It's just like you said — we're all in it together. You only are a mommy in this way for such a brief amount of time anyway that you don't wanna look back and be like, 'Why did I care about that stupid nonsense?'"
