The Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon Sequel Will Come Out on Netflix First

Netflix is continuing its media takeover! After its original programs like Orange Is the New Black and House of Cards have become hits, the streaming service is turning its focus to movies. The Weinstein Company announced that the Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon sequel will debut on Netflix and a number of IMAX screens simultaneously next year, marking the first time the service has premiered a film. Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: The Green Legend will be available on Aug. 28, 2015, at no extra cost to subscribers. And this is only the first film to be announced that Netflix will try with this model, of which the company's chief content officer, Ted Sarandos, said, "These are two different experiences, like going to a football game and watching a football game on TV."
