The Harry Potter Movie Artifacts You Have to See If You Head to the New Wizarding World

The new location of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Hollywood is officially open for business, and before you apparate into the new park, we have a few pieces of advice for you that we discovered at a park preview. There's our general guide for all you need to know and our advice about the rides: will you really get sick on the 3D Forbidden Journey Ride, and do you want to feel like you're riding the Flight of the Hippogriff? But besides the rides and the Butterbeer, there are also some items from the Harry Potter movie sets that you can see at the park. These aren't advertised heavily or in any one place, so you'll want to know where to look. Let us point the way.

Hermione's Yule Ball Dress

In the park's village of Hogsmeade, there's a retail shop for clothing called Gladrags Wizardwear — which has not one but two wardrobe pieces from the movie. In the window of the shop is one of the dresses Emma Watson wears as Hermione at the Yule Ball in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I say "one of the dresses" because there were multiple versions of the dress made, a common practice on movie sets.

Inside the same shop (Gladrags Wizardwear), there is another dress from the Yule Ball — the one worn by Katie Leung as Cho Chang (as the date of Robert Pattinson aka Cedric Diggory) in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

The most consistently shown class at Hogwarts, Defense Against the Dark Arts, gets its due inside the Hogwarts castle on your way to ride the Forbidden Journey.

The Luggage in the Hogwarts Express Train Car

Wandering around Hogsmeade, you'll run into the Hogwarts Express train station — and inside is a train car doubling as a photo booth. The luggage on the top right rack is from the films, and you can even touch it, unlike the wardrobe.
