Summer will be here before you know it, which means not only do you need to get excited about upcoming Summer movies, but it's also time to grab tickets for the season's hottest music festivals while they last! Whether you're new to the concert circuit or you just need a reminder of what's coming up, we have the perfect guide for you. Lineups were recently announced (in unconventional ways) for festivals like Outside Lands and Lollapalooza, and there are tons of others — possibly closer to your neck of the woods.   • Where: Indio, CA
  • When: April 10-12, April 17-19
  • The headliners: Drake, Jack White, AC/DC, Florence + The Machine, Azealia Banks, Raekwon and Ghostface Killah, Interpol, Alabama Shakes, Run the Jewels, Kaskade, St. Vincent, and Hozier
  • Why we're excited: It's true: Coachella is a big party is the desert. It's become one of the most talked-about festivals of the year because of the great artists who flock there and the primo celebrity spotting.

  • When: April 24-26
  • The headliners: Blake Shelton, Dierks Bentley, Eli Young Band, Jake Owen, Kacey Musgraves, Miranda Lambert, The Band Perry, Tim McGraw, and ZZ Top
  • Why we're excited: This is country music heaven. It's practically like being at the Country Music Awards, only you're outside and it's way better.

  • When: April 24-May 3
  • The headliners: Elton John, The Who, Jimmy Buffett, Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga, No Doubt, Keith Urban, Pitbull, John Legend, Ed Sheeran, Lenny Kravitz, T.I., Chicago, and Hozier
  • Why we're excited: Why wouldn't you be excited about a show that features Jimmy Buffett, Keith Urban, and T.I.? There truly is something for everyone. Did I mention it's in New Orleans, home of jazz music and ridiculously good food?

  • Where: Gulf Shores, AL
  • When: May 15-17
  • The headliners: Foo Fighters, Zac Brown Band, Beck, Paramore, Skrillex, Foster the People, My Morning Jacket, Major Lazer, and Spoon
  • Why we're excited: With over 70 bands playing on six stages, this is a huge event. It's right by the beach, so if you get too hot in the mosh pit, you can just walk over and take a dip in the water!

  • When: May 23-25
  • The headliners: Kendrick Lamar, Robert Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters, Modest Mouse, Sleater-Kinney, Lana Del Rey, Ryan Adams, Of Monsters and Men, and The Decemberists
  • Why we're excited: Have some vacation days built up? Take an extra day and head up to Washington for Memorial Day weekend. The scenery is lush (the show is at a famous venue called The Gorge . . . which is in a giant gorge) and the lineup is a combination of today's hot artists and legendary performers.

  • Why we're excited: Bonnaroo is known for the music, but there's also comedy and a ton of other activities. Plus, Mumford & Sons is dropping its new album on May 4, so you'll be among the first to hear the band perform some of those songs live.

  • Why we're excited: Taking place over 11 days and featuring over 800 acts, Summerfest prides itself on being the world's largest music festival. Nearly 900,000 people hit up the shows last year and partied on the beach at Lake Michigan.

  • When: July 17-19
  • The headliners: Wilco, Chance the Rapper, Sleater-Kinney, Future Islands, CHVRCHES, and The New Pornographers
  • Why we're excited: Tickets are surprisingly inexpensive (a three-day pass is $150) to see all these established and budding performers. The shows are in the heart of the city at Union Park, so you can walk down to the bars after a long day.

  • Why we're excited: Lollapalooza continues to score some of the biggest names in the industry. It's worth braving Chicago's Summer humidity for Paul McCartney and Sam Smith. Plus, if you need to get out of the packed crowd, Chicago is a great city to explore.

  • Why we're excited: Though the lineup isn't here yet, last year's festival included Eminem, Pearl Jam, Outkast, Skrillex, Beck, Calvin Harris, Lana Del Rey, and Lorde. Basically, the who's who of current music.
