Me Before You came out with an emotional story for audiences this year, one that centers on a caretaker and her charge, played by Emilia Clarke and Sam Claflin, respectively. There's no doubt that you are deeply familiar with the fact that Clarke is also one of the stars and heroes of Game of Thrones, but her costar, the British actor Claflin, may be a bit harder to place. The Pillars of The Earth (2010)

Claflin's very first role was in the 2010 Emmy-winning TV miniseries The Pillars of The Earth, a historical drama that aired on Starz. He starred alongside actors like Hayley Atwell, Eddie Redmayne, and Ian McShane.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (2011)

Most of the moviegoing population first saw Claflin when he had a supporting role in the fourth film of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. He played, I kid you not, a sexy missionary who falls for a mermaid. It was a pivotal role not just because of the shirtlessness, but because he needed to fulfill the old-timey dreamboat role since Orlando Bloom had exited the series.

Snow White and the Huntsman (2012)

Maybe you were distracted by Chris Hemsworth's bulging muscles as the Huntsman in this Disney retelling of Snow White, but Claflin also made for a dashing leading man as the prince who pursues Kristen Stewart.

The Hunger Games Franchise (2013-2015)
