Tim Burton's Latest Trailer: Amy Adams Paints the Big Eyes, but Christoph Waltz Takes the Credit

Director Tim Burton tackles a biopic for Big Eyes, the film about Walter and Margaret Keane, the couple who produced the big eyes paintings that became popular in the 1950s and '60s. Technically, it wasn't really a husband-and-wife act — see, Margaret (Amy Adams) was actually doing the paintings, while her husband, Walter (Christoph Waltz), pretended that he did them. As you can see in the trailer, they both get to enjoy the spoils of Margaret's success — but she starts to get resentful, for obvious reasons. I love seeing Adams in the retro looks, along with supporting cast Jason Schwartzman and Krysten Ritter, but where's the darkness Burton is known for? The upbeat music accompanying the trailer feels a little misplaced. Either way, can't wait to see this one when it comes out on Christmas Day. Watch the trailer now.
