Here's Where Everyone Ends Up After "Emily in Paris" Season 3's Jaw-Dropping Cliffhanger

Emily undergoes a bit of a transformation in season three. Her style continues to be as bright as ever, although the Instagram influencer of previous seasons seems to have taken a backseat to the drama. The girl who told Mindy in season one that "I'm not sure I know who I am in this city without @emilyinparis" is using the platform as less of a lifeline and more of a networking opportunity.

She agrees to work for Sylvie's new marketing agency, though she feels obligated to Madeline to help out; it quickly blows up in her face when Madeline confronts her at a potential client meeting, and Sylvie fires her on the spot . . . on the same night Alfie leaves her, too.

Things turn around for Emily fairly early on, though, after Madeline leaves for Chicago, and not only is Emily back in Alfie's good graces, but she's back on at Sylvie's agency and bringing in luxury deals left and right, much to the chagrin of some of her colleagues.

In her personal life, however, she still finds herself drawn to Gabriel, especially when she finds out he's in love with her. In fact, during the finale, Camille reveals in front of all of their family and friends that Emily and Gabriel love each other, leaving Alfie heartbroken because he doesn't want to be the "second choice" to anyone. And our friendly neighbors find themselves back to where they started . . . pining for each other but unable to move forward without some serious consequences.

Can we pause for a sec and talk about how good Alfie looks in a suit? In anything, really. He's a man who knows exactly what he wants and doesn't like to play games, and he makes that clear to Emily when she doesn't show up to his going-away party . . . the same one she co-organizes with Gabriel. He's back before long, though, as the new CFO for Antoine's company, Maison Lavaux. After Emily serenades him at a solstice festival, they get back on solid footing. He's protective of her when Nicolas slights her and goes to bat for his best friend, Gabriel, when he asks Antoine for a better business deal. Unfortunately for Alfie, he's there when Camille blows the lid on his girlfriend and best friend's romantic history, and he walks away, unwilling to be Emily's "second choice."

Gabriel remains as elusive as ever, and we only see his vulnerability peek out in a handful of moments: when he and Emily go to a Michelin-star restaurant where he expresses his desire to have his own star and later when he gets drunk and tells Emily that he loves both her and Camille. By the end of the season, we see him planning for a future with Camille (unaware he's already professed his love to Emily). He also gets a bigger stake in the restaurant he shares with Antoine, names it after his grandma (who incidentally dislikes Camille), and is on his way to getting a Michelin star of his own, thanks to Emily and her coworkers. After Camille leaves him at their wedding, he and Emily share a moment in which he confesses how hard it's been to deal with his feelings for her. The episode ends with both left reeling from the news of Camille's pregnancy.

Camille has everything she wants now: she's moved in with Gabriel, and her gallery is thriving with a new exhibition coming up. But Gabriel is busy with the restaurant, and she admits to barely seeing him nowadays. She's also feeling guilty about manipulating Emily into staying away from him.

At her new exhibition, she befriends its artist Sofia, who's very attracted to her, and they share a secret kiss at Alfie's housewarming party, which Emily catches. Emily tries to stay out of it while Camille explores this new side of herself, going as far as Greece to spend time with Sofia under the guise of a work trip. When she returns, however, she and Gabriel are surprisingly closer than ever, and she proposes to him at Musée d'Orsay.

At their engagement party, she catches Gabriel and Emily in what appears to be an intimate moment, and when they spontaneously agree to get married at her family's vineyard, she leaves him at the altar during their vows because she confesses to knowing that he and Emily love each other. She also tells him about her pact with Emily, and Camille realizes maybe she wanted him back because "I just didn't want to lose." As she's leaving, she calls for everyone to stop pretending, which potentially sets the stage for her own romance with Sofia in the next season.

And if that wasn't all chaotic enough, Gabriel reveals to Emily in the final moments that Camille returned from Greece to tell him she's pregnant, not to "revive our relationship . . ."

Mindy is living her best life as the new performer for La Trompette Bleue jazz club, even though it's taken time away from her new band and her boyfriend, Benoît. When she reconnects with Nicolas de Leon, an old (and persistent) classmate from boarding school who happens to run a major fashion company (small world, huh?), it creates tension with Benoît, who later breaks up with her. She gives into Nicolas's advances to see where things will go, but when he has a messy run-in with Emily and Sylvie, it pushes Mindy to choose between her best friend and her boyfriend. But if there's anything we know about Mindy, she is loyal to a fault and is quick to put out the flames.

By the end of the season, however, she's set up to be in a love triangle when Benoît comes to ask her for forgiveness and tells her they've been selected to go to Eurovision. Meanhile, Nicolas is on his way with a private helicopter to take her to Gabriel and Camille's engagement party. Whew!

We see Sylvie this season as more of a boss and partner and less as Emily's opponent. After her dramatic departure from Savoir sees her take the staff with her, Sylvie struggles to get her new agency, Agence Grateau, off the ground, largely due to a noncompete clause she signed. But she didn't get to where she is now without some tricks up her sleeve, and after making it impossible for her former employer to sustain operations without her, she's back to her old stomping grounds with her name on the door this time around.

She explores her new relationship with Erik, who's uncomfortable with the idea of her still being married and close to her husband, Laurent. He leaves her during a party that Laurent accidentally shows up to, forcing Sylvie to wonder if it's worth giving her marriage another try. Before we know it, Laurent's commuting back and forth from Saint-Tropez and is already thinking of opening a club in Paris. While Sylvie's growing her company, however, it puts her in touch with some unsavory characters from her past, one of whom might be investing in Laurent's business.

Julien is one of Sylvie's right-hand men, and he stays loyal to her despite the initial uncertainty of her new firm's future. He tries to take more initiative in pitch meetings and in bringing his own clients, but he feels constantly overshadowed by Emily and her ambitious ideas. It creates a lot of tension in the group and leads to him giving Sylvie an ultimatum that he's planning to walk if she doesn't talk to Emily. The last straw is when Emily unwittingly steals his thunder during a meeting with a luxury brand — the last scene we see him in episode 10 is where he sends off an email to an unknown recipient, saying, "I've considered your offer. Please do not discuss with anyone." It remains to be seen whether he will go to a competitor.

Luc is one of the most endearing characters on the show, and the way he steps up for Emily shows how much he cares for her. Not only does he try to help her make amends with Sylvie at the start of the third season, but he backs up Emily's ideas during pitch meetings (such as skirts for men at a luxury brand). He also reconnects with a former girlfriend (who's a Michelin inspector) in order to get her to give a star to Gabriel's restaurant. It'll be interesting to see if he gets his own love interest next season!
