The Martian Trailer: Matt Damon Is Kind of a Space Badass

The last time we saw Matt Damon as an astronaut, it was in Interstellar, and we were definitely not rooting for him. But in this Fall's The Martian, Damon is an astronaut who needs help getting home from Mars, and he is so the guy you'll be rooting for. Based on the Andy Weir novel, the movie isn't just about Damon's character Mark Watney getting lost in space, it's also how his fellow astronauts, played by Chiwetel Ejiofor, Jessica Chastain (his Interstellar costar!), Donald Glover, Kristen Wiig, Sebastian Stan, Kate Mara, and Michael Peña, band together to help him. The Ridley Scott-directed drama comes out Oct. 2, so check out the full trailer below.
