"The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On" Season 2 Trailer Teases Couples in Crisis

Netflix's "The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On" is coming back, and we now have our first look at the second season. On Aug. 9, Netflix released the trailer for season two, and it promises plenty more drama and chaos for fans to enjoy.

On July 26, the streamer announced the second season of the flagship show, which features five straight couples who try to figure out if they should get married or break up once and for all. To come to that decision, they enter into trial marriages with other participants on the show and then return to their original partner. At the end of the season, if the couples don't agree to get married, they go their separate ways. Netflix also revealed the names of all five couples in season two, along with a teaser that showcases the relationship issues they've identified heading into it.

The new batch of episodes come just a few months after "The Ultimatum: Queer Love" — which featured an all-queer cast of women and nonbinary people — wrapped up its first season. "Queer Love" ended with almost every couple parting ways. Meanwhile, three couples from season one of "Marry or Move On" — which aired in 2022 — are still together and have since gotten married.

"The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On" season two once again features Nick and Vanessa Lachey as the hosts. The couple also host Netflix's other experimental dating series, "Love Is Blind."

The first eight episodes of "The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On" season two will release on Netflix on Aug. 23. The last two episodes (including the reunion) will hit the streamer a week later, on Aug. 30.

"The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On" Season 2 Cast: Lisa and Brian

Lisa, 32, issued the Ultimatum to Brian, 29. Per Netflix, the couple have been together for a year and a half. Lisa also has a 10-year-old daughter whom Brian has bonded with. Lisa wants the couple to move forward and get married, but Brian is worried about her "jealousy issues" and thinks that when they fight, arguments get explosive.

Antonio, 30, gave the ultimatum to Roxanne, 31. The couple have been together on-and-off for four years. Antonio is ready for marriage, but Roxanne is focused on her career and she's not yet sure she wants to marry someone who doesn't have the same ambition and income that she does.

Ryann gave the ultimatum to James. The couple, both 24, are high school sweethearts who started dating at age 16. They've had communication issues, which were exacerbated when James went to another state for his education. Ryann doesn't want to waste any more time, while James wants to have a stable, steady job before they tie the knot.

Trey, 29, has given the ultimatum to his girlfriend of two years, Riah, 25. Riah feels Trey is lacking in the romance department, while Trey thinks her expectations have been warped by social media. He wants to get married so they can be like his parents (who've been together for 30 years), while Riah is less sure.

Kat, 28, gave the ultimatum to Alex, 32. They have some major communication issues — Kat avoids conflict, while Alex wants to be challenged by his partner. Kat thinks the ultimatum is her chance to break that pattern, but Alex is hesitant to take that next step.
